Thank you!
The information on Jacob Wesner 88032408 and family was very helpful! It has been hard piecing together the life of his wife's father, Nicholass Crison. I am wondering if there is a way to supply this information to Ancestry.com. The findagrave numbers would open up the trail for a lot of people. Thanks again!

Good Morning,
It looks like that back in Jan 2013 you created a memorial for Mary Haff Loofbourrow. You have very specific information regarding her birth date and birth place, which sad to say on my end, does not match with any information that I have been able to collect. Could you/would you point me in the right direction? I would so appreciate it.

Duplicate memorials
I took two photos today at Midway Methodist. It seems there are two memorials for both people, Mary Burk(e) and Edward Burk(e). The dates match, but I don't know how you combine duplicate memorials. I am not related to either, just happened to see they were in the "no photo" category.

You're welcome. I'm always glad to help locate information about CSA soldiers, especially those who were buried in the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, VA, where the local funeral home director keep detailed records now available online.

Best regards,

Brinkley
Dearest Tony, I am very excited to say I have very good evidence to suggest John Brinkley's parents names! 1)John and Sarah Bodford Brinkley had a daughter Sarah Brinkley Teague. Her death certificate said her Father was from Mecklenburg county, NC! So A quick search found John Brinkley Sr. who died in 1835. His probate is available at https://familysearch.org. His widow is listed as Nancy! I found other leads at familysearch.org but until I have verified them they are leads. I did find probate for a Nancy Brinkley dated 1862. I am not sure if this is the same one...

RE: John Brinkley's
I descend from Andrew C. Brinkley. I have a photo of his daughter posted. Jane Catherine Brinkley Starnes. 65860325. Until recently I did not even have his parents. I will dig around and get back with you. Because Andrew was in Caldwell county, I could not link him to any parents until recently. I have to thank you for all your work and research.

John Brinkley
Sir,
I realize you are away, but I believe after a period of time edits I sent automatically happen. So I wanted to explain my reasoning. There were 2 John Brinkley in Davidson county. Both were born in 1809. One died in 1861 and the other died in 1863. I have based my conclusions solely on the fact of their being buried with the correct Mothers. The cemeteries are only like 9 miles apart.
When you are able and can look at this with your notes please let me know your thoughts. I descend from 17939791 and Sarah "Sallie" Bodford Brinkley.

Brinkley
Greetings, I have been looking at census and death records for over an hour now and I have to tell you John Hamilton Brinkley 121914296 and Charity Brinkley 121926332 were not the children of the John Brinkley you have listed. The Mother is correct. But either this John Brinkley was a bigamist Or all the other children listed for him are for the wrong John. There were 2 John Brinkley born 1808-1809. One shows up with wife Mary in 1850 and 1860 Davidson county. The other John BRINKLY in 1850 is in Yancey county and then moves to Davidson county in 1860. Here his name shows up as Brinkley. Pitiful ain't it?

Thank you for having the kindness to post a "bio" of him, but there is no record of his burial in the Spotsylvania C.H. Confederate Cemetery.

If you have documentation that he was buried in there, would you please share?
I'm always interested in various sources..!

RE: Anna Katherine Myers Sappenfield
All you need to do is click edit burial. A page will pop up. Select unknown at this time. I myself have some family members I have been unable to find and have created memorials for. Its not something I try to make a habit of..but there some people that you know will likely never be found, civil war veterans..etc. If you make that change I will be happy to link to your unknown. Some contributors will not.

There are other selections that can be made as well, body lost, donated to medical science, lost at sea, cremated ashes scattered ect..

Thanks for understanding and making this change, Brad

Hi Tony, I did make the link for Ellen to her father. The memorial you created for her mother I will not link to unless you post a gravestone photo. Memorials should not be placed in cemeteries unless you have some sort of evidence that she is actually there. That is misleading to other users of this site. It would be better if you wish to create a memorial for her that you make her burial "unknown"

Hello,

I notice that you visited the Hildreth cemetery and took some photos.

Can you tell me exactly how to reach this cemetery? I understand that it is on O'dells knob, but I can not find a way to reach it.

Thank you

Dave
