John Zeno Plant

Thank you again. The Plants are my favorite uncle's folks. While he is not online, I periodically send him the research I am doing on our huge family tree. He gets a huge kick out of reading about his ancestry.

RE: Elizabeth Hoffman Patterson
Shirley, you are right. I just found them in the Gum Springs cemetery in Searcy, White County. Dr. J. Patterson (Jesse) and his wife, Elizabeth. They also have a daughter-in-law buried there with them.
Jesse J Patterson and Elizabeth Hoffman married on 2 Sept 1917. I think he died in 1960 or so, and she made it until the early 1970's. I will correct my records and take her out of your area.

RE: Elizabeth Hoffman
Shirley, I thought I told you this here goes again. I was told by family members that this is where my husband's gg aunt was buried. Her name is Elizabeth Hoffman Patterson. She was married to J. D.? Patterson. I do not live close to this cemetery, or I would come and do the search myself. That is all I know.

Elizabeth Hoffman Patterson
Shirley, she was a sister to my husband's grandfather, who died just 18 months before my husband's birth. My husband never knew any info on this side of the family, as his grandfather divorced his grandmother just a year or so before his death in 1956. So, finding any info is not easy. She was born Eliz Hoffmann around 1893 in Missouri. She had cousins who lived in and around Arkansas. She married a DJ Patterson but no location/date available. She also had a son named DJ Patterson, who might still be alive and be a dentist in and around Searcy, Ark. Her son would be older now, and I do believe he recently lost his wife. I think Elizabeth could have died as late at the 70's or even 80's. Her mother made it to 91 years of age.

Elizabeth Hoffman
Shirley, she married a D.J. Patterson, so she will be listed as Elizabeth Patterson. I had a heck of a time finding out anything on her. She is the sister of my husband's grandfather or my hubby's great-aunt. This one distant relative told me Elizabeth is buried out there, but I have no evidence, other than her word. Let me know if you find her. Thanks, Donna Crawley
