RE: Martha Engle
They are buried in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallant Alabama which is in Etowah County. If you want anymore info about them, I am on Ancestry and maybe I can look it up for you.

RE: Pfc James M. Bishop
I agree, it would be better to have requested your permission. Sometimes I get ahead of myself in wanting to see these brave men memorialized. Would you like me to remove them, or would you like to take over the memorial? That way you could do with it whatever you feel is right. I apologize for overstepping my bounds.

I apologize for the error. I see no reason to remove their memorials. I removed your name from Carl's family links.

No connection. I stubble upon his memorial and left a virtual flower, because I wanted to show my respect and let him know he is remembered.

Thank you for finding her obit and posting it. I have limited access to the Gadsden Times archives but didn't have access to the year she passed away.

Sure :)
Also, you had indicated earlier that you had a copy of Mary Catherine Bedford Walker's obit, if you could scan that, please post it to her memorial or shoot me a copy in my email? I would appreciate it!

Hey Marvin
John Paul is listed in the bio that I put under Emma. Are you talking about the links? I see that he's not listed there? But that's because there's no link for him? Do you have his find a grave memorial number? That way I can link them. I'm am a very distance relative with you, ha I've been doing geneology for many years so I have a lot of information. Thanks for contacting me! Always nice to meet new relatives even if they are distant.

RE: Tom Engle
Welcome to FindAGrave!

My research of the Engles is for two of my cousins who descend from the Somers line. I have no personal family information.

I have found two sons of Miles with Texas graves, and have linked both to your new memorials.

Cheers,
Debbie

RE: Mollie Walker
Hey Marvin, good to hear from you. Yes we are related through Mollie. I would love to see her obit. I have her born in Forsyth as per what my grandmother Mary Willa Walker told me. I will respond more in depth in a couple of days. I just moved and don't have things the way I want them yet. Susan Owens

Catherine Engle
RE: we are kin
Claude Dennis Engle (1931-2002) was listed as my husband's father on his birth certifcate. My husband's mother gave my husband the Engle last name so he would have the same last name as his siblings, but blood line wise my husband is not an Engle but all of his siblings are by blood. My husband has a different father and his mother will not tell us who he was. The Engle family is the only family my husband has ever had and he considers the Engles his family. When my husband's mother and Claude divorced she married Claude's brother Lonnie Watson Engle. Lonnie was my husband's stepfather and more of a father to my husband than Claude. It's all a little messed up and a little confusing. Claude and Lonnie both are buried at Freeman's Chapel in painter community I have not put their memorials up yet on find a grave. Claude did receive a purple heart for his service at war. I will try to get everything up this week on find a grave.

RE: engle family history
I have done some research but I really have nothing concrete and for sure. I am an Engle by marriage. I have done research on my husbands side of the family and found ancestors coming from Palatinate Germany - Melchor E Engle or Ingle(1720-1760)and his spouse Magdalena Mary Beyerle (1721-1769) - Elsenz, Heilbronn, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. Lawerance Elmer Engle was my husbands grandfather. Like I said I am still searching myself and trying to find out for sure that the voyage to America started with Melchor and Magdalena. I hope this helps you.
