|Kay Stone Garriott||Hy C Holliday 1852-1931|
Thank you so much for send me the photograph of his marker. I have him as Henry Clay Holliday. I'm pretty sure Hy is short for Henry.
I really appreciate what you do for genealogy researchers.

This is a "what do you know?" for me. I am related to both the Prices and to the Carlisles, and I am quite certain the Carlisles had an ‘s.‘ I'm suspecting an error by the stonecutter, but what do you know…? Thanks so much for taking the photo. ~ Michele

My grandmother was Mamie Gartman Pierce from Citronelle AL. She was the daughter of Viola Boothe and Miles Tuney Gartman. Miles was the son of Paul G. Gartman and Charity Elizabeth Bailey. Are you related to the Citronelle Gartmans? If so, we are probably related.

|Rita Graves||RE: Linda Etue Knippers # 90784785|
Yes, that was what had me ask to add Mary as the mother of Linda. Then checking for the other kids, I ran into this problem:
Mary lists her deceased kids as Linda, Shirley Baumgardner and Marie Hightower, and a son Kenneth Shell.
Alvin's first wife, Zola Estelle Cunningham Shell Etue # 5434149 already has Marie (Shell) Hightower and Shirley Rae (Shell) Baumgardner linked to her memorial. Since these girls & Kenneth have the name Shell included, I suppose they belong to Clyde Shell & Zola.
Sounds like a great family, when four grown people all claim to be the parents. If Alvin remarried after Zola's death in 1958, it's very possible that Linda is Zola's child. If Linda is Mary's child, she may not be Alvin's child (even tho Etue is on her tombstone).
So, if it were, me, maybe I'd get in touch with Pat Hall (owner of Zola's memorial) and see if she knows who Linda Knipper's mother is.
