Jacob Arinder
Arinder Origins
My name is Jacob Arinder, and for many years I have wondered on the origin of my last name. I know that most of my father's family are from the Lorena area in Mississippi, but I would like to know more. Because of the spellings of our name (Arinder, Arender, and I have even found a grave marker with Ariender on it) I am having a hard time finding origins.
What I know so far is that Arinder is also a popular first name in India and that most records indicate a German heritage (or possibly Polish) and I have even found an Arinder in Russia (visitor to Ellis Island in 1906).
I am not close to any of my father's family; I barely know them. But, I want to know more about my heritage for my sons.
I was wondering if anyone knows who wrote this particular piece, maybe they can give me more help.

Any help would be great, Thank You!

I assume his wife is still living. There is a marker, but her death date is blank.

Angelique, from your original photo can you read all the verse below the dates on this stone? I cannot read on Find A Grave, would love to know what it says. Anyway, I could plead for a higher resolution copy of the photo in my email?? :-)

Thank you for the connection to his parents.
They have been linked together.
My guess is that a 2 year old isn't too interested in old "stones"!!! Little does he know!!!

Thank you very much for the added information. That is so cool on how you bought that Bible with all that info. I added all the info to Clyde's memorial & found 2 of his son's buried in Saginaw, which I linked. I am not related, just a researcher. I do not know where his wife is buried either. Thanks again! Rosalie
