|Evelyn Jones Christensen||J.H. & J.W. Hartman|
Carla.....Boy, do I have these Hartmans in a mess!
Why don't I transfer John H. and John W. to you and hopefully you can straighten them out. I'll also delete one of the John W.'s....why didn't I see that before? HA!
Are there more Hartman's that I can transfer to you?
Would be happy to do so.

No problem! It's good to hear from you. I would be happy to receive any info you have.
I came across info that Emma Clements was raised by Fred and Lydia Luker. Her mother was Anna Luker who died when Emma was born (her father was Bill Clements)and she married John Enright from Abilene, Ks. But Emma Luker (mother of Abner Luker) was Anna Luker's sister. The father of Abner is possibly Matthew Bright. Emma Luker died shortly after Abner was born in Feb. 1876. ( Abner was born in Jan. 1876) I found it interesting that both Emma's were raised by their grandparents evidently. Also Emma Luker did not marry.
Thanks and hope to hear from you again. I understand life is so busy though. Thanks again, Jorrie (Luker) Nelson

My grandpa is Abner Luker. My dad was W. A. Luker. Jim's (James) brother. Was your mom Jim's daughter?
I saw your message on Sue Henry's board. Her husband Jim is my cousin but not related on my Dad's (Luker) side. I heard that Abner's dad's last name was Brite. I don't know his first name. I would be very interested in whatever info you have about this side of the family. Thanks, Jorrie Luker Nelson. Your cousin. (Once removed or 2nd)

|robin hixon||RE: Christy's - Marmaton|
here is the Bourbon Co cemetery list for Christy. I go through Uniontown to get to all the cemeteries I work, so I could check Uniontown.
these entries are from the genealogical society book, I have Marmaton book so it has rows. don't have Uniontown or Oak Grove, but can check them and locate plot when I am in Fort Scott early afternoon when the office is open.

transferred the Christy's that were on the stone with your request Beatrice. there are two others, probably next generation, in the same cemetery but not near them. opposite section, different rows. I don't have those photos uploaded. don't know if that means they are on the broken PC or the other working PC. will transfer if you'd like. I am not related to anyone in that cemetery.

First I'd like to say how sorry I am for the passing of your Mother. I think you are so right in saying that Find A Grave can help you heal with the loss of your Mother. It's a spiritual thing with me.
And you are so very welcome for the pictures. I hope they are alright. I usually will get down on the ground if I need a better view, but the snow was starting to melt, and altho I do have coveralls on, it's just a tick cool. I hope you noticed that I added some more of the Luker family, I'm not sure if or how they are related, but I can't resist when I see names that are the same. If you need any of those folks, just let me know, and I'll transfer them.
I just have to tell you that the requests for Abner and Cora came at a strange time !! I just about fell over. My husband's Aunt, Katherine... ( his Mother's sister ) is a Luker. Katherine was married to William ( Bill ) Luker, Abner's son. Katherine just passed last month. And with in the last few weeks I started to look up my husbands side of the family ( Haley's and Henry's ). It will be interesting to see how you and he might be related, even if it's distantly.
Well let me know if you need transfers Carla, and you take care okay. Sincerely Sue Henry

Oh Carla...this was so helpful. Thank you so much!!! I've printed off your response and will make notes on my files with your pictures. I did put a request in for the baby's stone. I think now, based on what you told me, that these were the children of Thomas....got to go back and check. But sure makes sense.
The locations of the stones is just so helpful. I've started to include a group photo shot with most of the photo requests now that I do. Found out that it helps me so much, that I'm hoping that it helps others.
Read your profile....so sorry about the loss of your mother. I got into Find A Grave about the same way and find it very therapeutical (not such a great spelling...and I'm an old teacher...duh) and like you, very rewarding. Thanks again for your help and your support. Now, you just stay warm and you can go out there when it is nice and sunny and you don't have to sweep the graves!!! Take care...Sharen

Goodness Carla...didn't expect to see photo's till Spring, but looked like you fought the cold and the snow and I thank you so much!!!
I noticed that you also added photos for Charles Clyde Sutton #22499123, Helen Amanda Sutton #22499126, and Roy Sutton #22499131 and their stones are all similar...so wondering if you know if those stones were close to or near Alvah A Sutton and Clara Marinda Henderson Sutton's graves? I haven't been able to find an index on-line and these 3's birth years would be feasible.
Thanks again for braving the cold.
Sharen in Oklahoma, where it's also cold and snowing!!!

|RER||RE: Moses Boardman|
Carla- I really appreciate all you've done. I have a genealogy volume that has the Boardman history which does date back to Banbury England and shows Moses having been a youngster when he joined up during the Revolution. Headstones and markers in many cemeteries have been misplaced or destroyed as you are finding out. It's a real shame. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I assume the picture is of you and your youngster. Cute kid! Again thanks for what you're doing and if I can ever return the favor, please let me know...Dick

Carla, thank you so much for your efforts in this endeavor. However, Please do not risk the flu or Pneumonia or a slip and slide injury in the snow and ice. Spring time, when the flowers are out and the birds are singing will be just fine and maybe more enjoyable for you also. Thank you again for what you have done...

|RER||RE: Moses / Abigail|
Carla- Thanks for trying. It's nice to know that Moses and Abigail are buried there. I have a book of the Boardman genealogy which has a short bio on Moses and it does mention his involvment during the Revolution. There a couple other Boardmans buried at the cemetery. I've spent most of my time researching all my direct lines. Please know that anything you do is greatly appreciated... Thank you again, Dick
