Thank you very much for responding. Actually another member who takes wonderful photos sent me the directions today. The problem I was having is the address is listed as Fredericksburg when it should be Livonia.

I know I have to live within 3 miles of there but have never seen this cemetery. Since you took a photo of the church, perhaps you could tell me where it is located. Thank you so much

You took a very nice photo of the meeting place here but I would like to know where this is located. I am very familiar with Fredericksburg but not this place. I would like very much to see it. Could you give me directions please. Thank you very much.

Thank you for the wonderful photo!
I am having a tough time reading what is written.
Is it any easier to read in person? If so, would it be possible for you to translate what is written? Thank you so much for what you have given to us! I/We really do appreciate it!

Thanks. Some of the old headstones are really in bad shape. I think you are lucky to be able to read any thing on some of them. Thanks again for the photo.

You're very welcome! The cemetery is located about 1/2 mile down the trail. It's about at the point where a pine forest starts (the trail narrows). It's on the right side of the trail about 50 yards into the woods.
We would be happy to take you there, if you would like.

Mike, I created a memorial #107128307 for John P. Medley in Dean East Cemetery, since his photo had buried in Deen Cemetery on the back. I did not know there was a Dean East and a Dean West. Was Sarah Jane Medley's husband Francis M. Deen the son of Jeremiah Sage Deen? Let me know what you think. Steve

Hi Mike, Thanks for the info on Mary Lou Castleman. I have added it to her memorial. Would you like me to transfer her to you? Let me know. Jane

I have added a picture of Frank Jackson's tombstone to his memorial. He is buried in McKinney Chapel Cemetery in Williamson Co. IL. It has his name on the tombstone and just his age of 66. I noticed you had a birth date of 1846 and death date unknown. If you wanted to add his death date of 1912, it is up to you. I just added 66 years to the birth date you had for Frank. It is strictly up to you. I just thought you might want to know.

Mike, thanks for the info on Sarah Jane, I have looked at the Missouri Sec. of State website in the past. I wish every state had that system. Have you ever seen the book "The Medley Tree" by Evelyn Medley? Lots of Medley info. I just found some new info on John P. Medley which proves his death date, but I still don't know where he was buried. Evelyn Medley said her info said he was at Otterbein, but she had also seen a photo of him that indicated he was buried at Deen Cemetery. If you need the John P. info let me know. Thanks again. Stephen

Is this Sarah Jane Medley's husband? If so is Sarah Jane buried here also? I can't find them after 1900 when they were in Paducah, KY. Thanks, Stephen

I just joined Findagrave a few weeks ago. I guess we are half fourth cousins, I am a descendant of John P. Medley and his first wife Martina, (William Joshua Medley-Jennie Lee Medley McBride-Stephen Arthur McBride-James Arthur McBride-Me). Thanks for getting back in touch with me, I have also seen the cemetery as Audubon/Otterbein/Otterbin. There is a board set up to maintain the cemetery, they call it Otterbein. I've got another question about a Medley ancestor, I'll contact you later.

I have made the request for control of the specific persons memorials as per your information you sent me.
As the original photographer and person who put the memorials online, I believe it will go through but I also requested not only control of Hazel Cemetery but all her memorials as to have someone with experience handling requests.
Thank you for your confidence in my abilities.

Thanks for the McBride and Medley grave photos in Audubon Cemetery that you posted. I am related to all the McBrides and Medleys buried there. Lewis Cass McBride is my gggrandfather. I visited the Massac/Pope area in 1993 and again in 2011. I put a headstone on Lewis Cass McBride's grave last year and will try to post it. I talked to two of Lewis Cass McBride's granddaughters back in the 1990's and they remembered he where he was buried. I am thankful I talked to them, they are now both dead. Thanks again.

You are very welcome Mike...
One of the people in the Ward Family Cemetery is Joseph Riley Ward 1836-1897, a Civil War Veteran who spent time at Andersonville and survived. He is a first Cousin 4R to me. I have a page or two of information about him if you would like it.

Mike and Linn,
You were almost there. At the intersection of Lake Egypt and Cobb Hill Roads, look directly to the North. You will see (slightly uphill) the entrance to an open field. There may be a gate there. You will also see an overhead power line on your right (East) side. Walk directly North across the field about 450 yards. The cemetery is in that field at the other end. It is in the open but if the grass has not been mowed you will not see it as all the stones have been pushed over long ago. At a spot about 35 feet South of the fence and about 50 feet West of the overhead power lines, you will be standing in the little cemetery. The grave stones cover an area about 10 feet square if I remember correctly. I double checked the GPS Coordinates that are shown on Findagrave. Those coordinates focus on a spot maybe 25 feet or so West of the cemetery. The cemetery is visible on Google Earth.
Good Luck,Let me know if I can help more...
