RE: Robert Percy Ellis update
Hi Glenn This is Elizabet Barnette. We are related by Willis Ellis My 2nd Great grandfather. Robert p , my great grandfather and Robert Percy Ellis (Pierce) My grandfather. Josephine Ellis was my mother who passse away in June 28th 2014. She was 98. She was born November 1st 1915. I will enter her information later when I can. I am writing you, because I think I have found Willis Ellis's father and his sister and her family. I would like to to talk to you about it sometime soon. William Ellis born either 1795 or 1790,lived next door to Willis and Mary in atwell, in Rowan County on the 1850 census. There is a family tree that lists William Ellis 1790 in Rowan County.. William had two children Willis i Ellis born 1815 in Rowan county. Mother unknown. William had a daughter born 1825 in Rowan County named Edith "Eady" Ellis in Atwell. Mother unknown. He lived in Rowan county in 1830 and was 30 years old. In 1850 lived next door to his son Willis I and Mary Smith, Atwell, School district 2 Rowan, Nc. On the 1860 census William lived in the Rowan County Home or poor house for the crippled or insame. H e would be my third great father. Willis sister Edith Married John Franklin Edmiston and they both are buried in Willow Valley cementery in Mooresville, NC. I have more information aboutEdith and her family and her daughters family. Edith and her husband had a farm in Atwell, Rowan County They were wagoneers and Willis's son John W Ellis moved in with his aunt Edith when he was 29 yo. He is the one who later moved to Illinois and was killed by the Wabash train. I have a lot more information I could give you and maybe you could help me sort it out. William Ellis is listed in the Whitehead family tree born 1790 with his two childred Willis I 1790 and Edith 1825-9-23-1899. I hope we can compare notes. Thanks Elizabeth Barnette barnetteelizabeth58@yahoo.com.

She is my ancestor also, and I believe she was born in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, VA. where the Jesper, Taylor, Lewis, and Hendren families lived for quite awhile. All were her relatives.

Hi, This man is my ancestor. From this entry, I guess he was buried here, rather than in Rowan/Davie Co., where he died.

RE: Ollie Lee Davis
Glenn,

Glad you found him. I am willing to transfer anyone else to whom you might be related. On each memorial just go to the edit tab and send me a note with something simple like “Req, transfer.” That way I know the exact memorial you want and I have your member number. Helping family find family is why I do what I do on Find A Grave.

Glenn,
I have a photo of the grave of a Robert L. Alexander. It is a veterans stone. It reads North Carolina , Corp 118 Field Arty, 31 Div, October 21, 1934. This is a double marker with Iona Mae Bridges Alexander alongside. There are three Robert Alexander gravesites in Oakwood cemetary. Two of which have a date of 1934. If this is the one you are looking for, contact me and I will send pictures. I tried to fufill your request, but someone else claimed it and I could not add my photos.

RE: Margaret Peggy Lentz Bost
Hi Glenn. I have removed the photos from her memorial #67377452 and put them on #26816973. You may want to give her photograph the portrait designation rather than grave photo designation. This may put her picture at the top. If not, you can change the order of all the photos if you want her lovely photo portrait at the top of all.

Thank you for the nice words. I enjoy this work and am happy to help any time. Soon I hope to get to the requests you have at Oakwood Cem., Iredell Co., NC, if the weather will cooperate more than 1 in 5 days!

Best regards,
Joy Steele

Re: Photo request of H. Clyde Lance grave
Hi; I have a photo of the grave for H. Clyde Lance, but there is no indication that he is deceased. I will be happy to post the photo for you, but, unless you can prove that he is deceased, I will have to block out the date of birth, which is listed. Let me know how you would like me to proceed.
