Thanks Robin! She's in the right place and I think I have become certifiable because I swear she was in the other cemetery when I looked this evening. I swear I don't drink! Lol! ;)

The Lady in Black
RE: Winifred Wiseman
Hi:

You're welcome. I'm surprised that I didn't post it to Pearl's memorial when I originally posted the photo to Winifred's memorial. I remember reading the note about the ashes being scattered, but must have forgotten to do it then. Sorry about that.

Just as a note, I was looking around in that area a couple of months ago for my an infant cousin on my mother's side. Winifred's marker can no longer be seen. After two years of drought, we've had floods of rain, and you would not believe how the grass has grown! I'm glad I took those photos when I did.

Take care,
TLIB

Hi Robin,
That's odd, I maybe I typed in the corrections and forgot to hit send. Thanks for the transfer, I added the birth/death dates and places.

Hi Robin,
I just wanted to let you know I found birth/death dates and places for Paul G. Laginess. Second husband to Mercy Wiseman, and I put information in the corrections section to be approved.

No problem Robin! I found out that Grace (Wiseman) Shabinaw passed away. She was Hasley "Baldy" and Mary (LaFeve) Wiseman's daughter.

I'm sorry I bothered you. I knew you added a picture, but you were the only contact I could get to. The other person in charge of that memorial had disabled all their contact links.

Is there some way to contact the people in charge of FindAGrave?

Again, I'm sorry for taking up your time.

Both of these memorials have the wrong birthday for her. The 1880 Scott County, AR census shows that she and her twin, Redmond, were just one month old on that census. Making their birthdays May, 1880, since the date of the census was June, 1880.

The Lady in Black
RE: Emma Freese
Hi:

I made a trip out there Monday afternoon, and could not locate her grave. The lot she's in is composed of all flat stones. They had just finished mowing the section, which didn't help matters, but I swept off as many stones as I could, and could not find her. Are you certain she is marked? I remember taking photos in that same lot/area last year, but the weather was dry then, and we've had so much rain that the grass is very thick now. If you're a relative, you can call and get the stone uncovered if she is marked. Let me know if you do that, and I'll try again. Or, perhaps, someone else will find her. I doubt I'll get back out there this week, and I don't know what the future holds at this point regarding my mom.

Sorry I couldn't find her.

Take care,
TLIB

RE: Emma Freese
Hi there:

I don't know when I will get out there again; maybe next week, maybe not (it's supposed to be getting hot again--in the 90s--and the mosquitoes are biting something fierce!). Also, my mother is ill, and I've been staying close. I have a huge backlog of photos to enter (none from Lakeview that I know of), so have been doing those. If I have the time, I'll try to get to it. I can't promise anything.

As for errors in the records, there are lots of them--those are transcribed from almost entirely hand-written records, and there are some real zingers in there--here's my great-grandfather (it's that way on the plot card as well):

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=41418547

As I said, I can't promise anything, and just to let you know, it's not uncommon for a photo request to sit for a very long time before someone gets to it, and hopefully finds it. Some of those will never be found. I hope Emma's not one of them.

Take care,
TLIB

Winifred Ann Wiseman @ Woodmere
Hello:

I was mowing the rows, and did not even know there was a request out for her. I hope you like the photo. It's a difficult section to work, and HUGE! It's also sad because there are so many young folks taken before their time out there, and many have not been visited for a very long time. Many have also sunk, and need to be raised. For every photo you take, you walk past five or six, knowing there's someone there, but unless you have a backhoe or a very strong back (which I don't, and am physically limited in what I can do), you'll never get them all. I swept off her stone as best I could.

She was an adorable little girl. I can see why her family missed her so much. I'll leave her a teddy bear token.

Take care,
TLIB

I think she would be buried with Alfred, my great uncle, but I don't know. My grandfather, John Woodstock was his brother. If you have any pictures of Alfred I would like to see them.

Would you mind if I use your photo on ancestry.com? I am a great granddaughter of Marion Francis Cox, and a granddaughter of his daughter Bertha Mable Craig. My mom was Ella Mae Craig Fox Wolf. Are you a descendant of Itasca? Do you attend any of the Cox reunions?

Mary Quirk
This Mary
(Mary Elizabeth (Wiseman) Quirk)
Married George Quirk this one is different from Mary Cornelia, Mary Elizabeth Quirk passed away in 1918 just about three miles away from me, she lived in my hometown (Belleville, MI) she is buried in Riverside Cemetery along with the other wiseman family. I believe there is a big Quirk Family monument but im not sure the next time I go there I will look. Mary and George had a son (George "Georgie" A. Quirk his dates are 1906-1992 I am not sure where he is buried. He lived up in the northern peninsula, I know that his wife is most likely dead by now also, I have to get her name from my uncle Ira. They had a daughter which my aunt knew and she said she wasnt the friendliest and was always a trouble maker when they came around.... She was adopted though she wasnt a blood realative.
