| RE: Thomas Disbrow Great! We all need all the help we can get, and to connect with a distant relative is part of the fun of all this. I saw that one of the people I was photographing for had a name on her page that was familiar, and when I looked at their pages, I saw that they are my children's great grandparents! You never know............Added by Jean Whitney on Jul 23, 2012 6:59 AM | |

| RE: Thomas Disbrow Another searcher, Mary Lou McCormick, is also looking for them, and suggested that Abigail might be there under Disbrow instead of Godwin which is the name I was asked to look for. I will go back and look again. You might look at my Find A Grave page for Mary Lou's contact information and share your information,Added by Jean Whitney on Jul 22, 2012 11:39 PM | |

| RE: Oliver Dimmick Hi John your welcome, Very surprised no stone for him myself as his wives died before him and their stones are there.... Also the fact that he was a Deacon surprises me that his stone was not taken better care of if that is his stone....
Need any pics of any of the other family member stones ????? Pink Cemetery is about 5 miles from me so no problem taking some.... Bud.....Added by George "Buddy" Hartmann on Mar 27, 2012 3:33 PM

| RE: Klopenburg/Kloppenberg I added a picture to both Margaret and Samuel, with this caption:
The unmarked grave of Margaret Sloan lies in the space to the right of the flat stone in the middle of the picture.
Ditto for Samuel.
I had the admin office confirm the location.
Let me know if there is anything else you would like researched.Added by Michael Towers on Feb 01, 2012 6:48 PM

| RE: Klopenburg/Kloppenberg I went by there this week. The area is a large public plot (which means that the Greenwod online mapping service has it only as a blank space). No problem though. I just have to stop by the admin office and get a more detailed blueprint for the area. The office was closed by the time I was there, so next week then.Added by Michael Towers on Jan 27, 2012 11:02 AM | |

| RE: Klopenburg/Kloppenberg Under separate cover, I am sending you a scan of an old map of Green-Wood. Section D was called "Hill of Graves". That name has disappeared from current maps.
I think this was one of the public burial sites. Most of these appear empty because people couldn't afford headstones (I assume).

| RE: Klopenburg/Kloppenberg By the way, it was fortunate that the Sloan lot had a stone, let alone a legible one. As you can see from the wide view, almost the entire hill is devoid of markers. Yet the hill is almost completely filled with graves.Added by Michael Towers on Jan 23, 2012 4:01 PM | |

I will take another photo of her stone the next time I am up there in the afternoon. The sun will light the stone better then.
