After checking, I see that she was from a different marriage, so wouldn't have been on my Powell tree. Sharon

Thank you for the nice headstone photos. I think this young Elizabeth Nutter might've been a distant cousin on my Powell branch. Sharon

Transferred but FYI it is so much easier when the transfer is requested through the edit system option 6. Edit button is on the top of the memorial page on the right side. Glad you located her and that she is now with family.

|Sharon Leon||RE: John T, Nutter information|
Hi - The book isn't indexed, so I'm not sure if he's the only Nutter pictured in the book. I learn something new about Hocking Co. every time I pick up the book. It looks like Logan is going to celebrate the 200th anniversary of their founding in 2016, then Hocking Co. will celebrate that milestone in 2018. Do you know when John T. Nutter opened his general store in Gore? The info. with the photo doesn't say. I was wondering if any of my Gore vicinity ancestors shopped there. The photo might be from the collection of the Hocking Co. Historical Society. I haven't been in touch with them. Sharon

Hi - I see that you added the photo for the John T. Nutter headstone. Did you know that there's a photo of John T. Nutter in front of his general store in Gore on pg. 23 of 2011 book "Logan and Hocking County" by Judith S. Maniskas? I got a copy of the book at Amazon.com awhile back at the urging of a schoolteacher acquaintance in Logan. Every time I pick up the book and look through it, I learn something new. Sharon

Thank you for the suggestion. I overlooked doing that. Catarrh could have been a number of health issues, such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, or a severe allergic reaction where she was unable to breathe. I didn't find any more on her family, so they might've left the area after she died.

|Sharon Leon||RE: Barnes & Nixon headstones|
There is a transcript of the cemetery in the Monday Creek Twp. cemeteries book that's being sold by the Perry Co. Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. If you haven't been in touch with Sue Saylor firstname.lastname@example.org in New Lexington, I know she'd be interested in what you're doing for their genealogical collection at the public library. Also, Penny Taylor has spoken with the owner or caretaker of the property and received permission to photograph the headstones. She's been planning to visit the cemetery with the owner or caretaker, who offered to guide her to the spot. Penny is at email@example.com. I can understand why the property owner might be concerned about liability. Perhaps if there was a law protecting private property owners, they would be more friendly towards those who want to visit a cemetery on their land

Thank you so much for posting your 2010 photos. She was m. to James Barnes, who was a brother of my GG grandmother Enora (Barnes) Powell. It's a shame about the condition of that cemetery.

Hi Linda. Are you related to John Nutter in Fellowship Cemetery? I remember speaking with you in Logan's library aawhile back. Your license plate had caught my eye. If the Nutter's i have listed on findagrave are your relatives let me know and I'll be happy to transfer them to you.
Take care and maybe I'll run into you in the library sometime when you are in Hocking County. Kellie
