RE: Fanny Thompson sons etc
Good morning. Thanks for your note. Apologies for the typos toward end of my note to you! Auto-correct on my phone makes nonsense on occasion and I didn't pause to proofread.

Fanny Thompson sons etc
Thank you for your note. I didn't read much past the first couple of paragraphs so I apologize for giving you info you already have. The cemetery transcription from the Hale collection has the one son listed as William Rufus. The name on Fanny's gravestone definitely states William Augustus. What I don't know is if they are also buried there or if their names were on her gravestone to give a mini biography. Was her father Israel Knapp buried in that cemetery? The Hale collection transcription lists Israel. Again, I wonder if it is because his name ip(and her mother's) papers on fanny's gravestone. Are you related? Your name leads me to believe so. Happy Summer.

RE: Walburga Schuh
Sorry about the name change. I'm trying to update all of my family from a mobile app. I probably hit a wrong button. Walburga Schuh is my great great grandmother. I have some more information to update on that side of the family so maybe that will be helpful.

Admittedly I am a bit confused...I think that it is best to transfer the memorials to you. This way you can decide whether to delete or reference the ones that you created. Thank you for working together..I appreciate your assistance

it is in the cemetery. I have no idea where else, I am not the least interested in genealogy, just a tombstone reporter.

Hi again.
Hi Judi,

I sent you a direct e-mail. I used to have it on my page but that way spammers can get it.

I can draw you a nice easy map of all of the cemeteries in the Newburys and scan/e-mail it to you. It gets VERY confusing if you do not know. This way you can enjoy your graving adventure when you get here and not spend the whole time practically lost.

I am going to start migrating the necessary memorials from Evergreen to Old Town. I can tell just by looking at them which goes where. Maybe I can meet you and your party in Newbury when the time comes and show you around. If you are here in May you can come to my lecture on Victorian graving subjects at the No. Andover Historical Society if you'd like.

one more quick note
Scarey thing is... I know the difference between Evergreen versus the OldTown cemetery. When i uploaded my photos from my trip to Old Town I put the memorials in Old Town on FindAGrave. I see they have been moved to Evergreen! I am moving them back to Old Town but need more time. I never photographed at Evergreen I just parked there and went thru the gates for photo-taking at Old Town.

See how much fun these old towns up here can be with little cemeteries everywhere you look? LOL!!

woking on it First Parish vs Old Town (Newbury, MA)
Hi Judi,

Looking into it but need more time.

example:
I found the Stephen Noyes Dodge stones that both indicate GR2: Memorial# 67095028 and # 67094712.
They are both in First Parish Cemetery, not at OldTown. First Parish is a huge cemetery Old Town down the road is very small nestled behing Evergreen Cemetery, both are very old.

The Evergreen versus the OldTown cemetery is another issue. Memorial# 6920813 (now under your management) is actually at Old Town, not Evergreen. You have to drive thru Evergreen to access OldTown that is why all of the confusion.

The original issue of OldTown versus First parish could mean that GR2 indicated both cemeteries in records? I am not sure as of yet.

It's a confusing mess on FindAGrave I can see, yikes.

John

I don't have the book handy but there are 2 great books written about the Lunts. Check with library's or u should be able to get on line. 1 is call A History of the Lunt Family in America by Thomas Lunt and the other is The Ancestry of Able Lunt. I don't have info on the Brookings but these books may help. Or u could check with the historical society in Newbury Mass.

I only just got the request
I have received no requests or info regarding the facts you have posted on memorial. I don't visit it that often. My sister has been under Hospice Care for 5 months and died Friday. E mails I answer. Rather busy since I was the one taking care of her 24/7 if you understand me! Unfair. FIRST REQUEST THIS MORNING.
