RE: Donna Clifton Champion
Understood Erin, hopefully the admins can merge the two memorials so that the duplication is resolved.

Sorry for your loss,

Hello Erin! I was wondering if you are the same Erin Spiceland who is connected on along with Hilary Weeks Herschel? Both names are profile managers on the page of Thelma L. Lambert. Thelma was my aunt. Thank you.

Hi there! I saw that you have a page for Anthony O'Carroll on geni and wondered what your sources were for his parents. Thanks for any information!

RE: Rev. Folsom
The source for her name or one version anyway is on the write-up I have for Peter, down toward the bottom, they think it is a corruption of a Choctaw word.

RE: Rev. Folsom
Oh, I have quite a bit I can share. I am leaning toward going with what the Choctaw Nation says about who his father was. The family/families have a big dispute about it and I can find at least 3 or 4 sources for each position.

Look toward the bottom of this Choctaw Nation page:

and this one:

As to his mother, I have some notes on her and I'm looking for them. More to follow.

Rev. Folsom
Well, it is going to be a complicated answer. Apparently the Folsom family does not agree on it either.

I have a whole list of links I can send you, but it might be easier to do it by email. The site was my original source, but I have at least six to ten, one which is about Col. David Folsom and most notably their list does not include Peter as his son. Yahoo answers has an interesting posting by an individual who said their 3G Grandmother was owned by Peter Folsom, and it notes his father as being Edmund.

I'm open to doing more research, so please send me an email, listed on my profile.

Samuel Sparks, Red House Cemetery

You posted a photo of his headstone in May of 2014. Would you still have a copy of this photo? If so, would you consider emailing me an unreduced copy. I can't read the one that is posted.

Richard Welere

If you will follow the children forward from Richard Welere, (Abraham when you get to Richard Wheeler 1614-1675), it ultimately take you to Lazarus Wheeler where the line stops.

When I started researching this family I thought my line included Lazarus to RIchard Welere and beyond. To my dismay, I learned that I am not connected to them.

However, I decided to leave the family from Lazarus back on Find A Grave for actual family members so that they (you) can benefit from my input. Unfortunately I don't have any documentation for them any longer as I made a total disconnect.

Therefore I can't answer your questions. If this in any way causes you to seek verification for other members of the family, I am truly sorry.

Chickasaw Elder
Benjamin Mclish
Erin Spiceland Correction notice 1/17/2015 8:55 AM Picture is not his gravestone, it's his wife's. That gravestone is also the source of his birthdate, which is incorrect. He was born about 1830.
Thank you Erin.I am very well aware of all the above. His wife Julia Bynum is my great aunt her parents Turner Bynum & Lucinda Dyer are my GGG grandparents.Turner's mother Tennce Colbert Bynum is my 4TH Great grandmother. As for B.F. Mclish I have not been able to locate his headstone as yet. He is not in this cemetery but a reference to him is. It is here others like yourself doing research perhaps someone will locate his grave site. I will gladly remove him from this site in the meantime it stays as is. FYI.I have spent the last three years restacking monuments, removing brush and fencing this site when time permits. The Chickasaw Tribe has been working with me in the past few months work now complete and on Chickasaw Management program. All of the Bynum's and Harkins in this cemetery are directly related.

I couldn't confirm his death date. The date shown is either his original burial or re-burial date.

RE: Mary Fennell request
Hi Erin,

To get the ones removed you talked about you would have to contact the person who put them on there and make a request.
I added overall pictures of the grave site to the individual ones that were already on there.
I have individual pictures of the other graves as well but I can't add them unless the ones you talked about are removed since you're limited in how many pictures can be added.

Mary Fennell request
I went down to Bonaventure today to take a picture of the grave site for Mary Fennell (d. 1943). I found the plot where she is buried according to City of Savannah records, but there was no marker for her.
There were five Fennell family members in the plot, so I will add those pictures on Find A Grave. If they are not on Find A Grave, I will create a memorial for each. I will add an overall picture of the plot to Mary Fennell's site on Find A Grave.

William Smith grave
My wife and I went down to Laurel Grove yesterday to take a photo of the grave for William Smith in plot 1368. We could find no marker so I rechecked the plot number when we got home.
According to City of Savannah records, he was buried in plot 1363 so I went back down there again today. I went to where the plot was located on the cemetery map, but there was no plot number and no grave marker.
I went ahead and took a couple of pictures of the area where the plot was indicated so I will post those to Find A Grave.
