GOVE -- Martha R. Chapman, 81, died Friday, March 5, 1993, at Gove County Hospital, Quinter.

She was born Jan, 17, 1912, in Leoti, to Lanton and Carrie (Seidel) Mast. She married Hugh Chapman Dec. 12, 1929. He preceded her in death She had been a school cook and lived in Gove. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Gove.

Survivors include three sons, Harvey, Panama City, Fla., and Jack and John, both of Las Cruces, N.M.; three daughters, Joyce Mendenhall, Wichita, Wilma Hill, Fort Collins, Colo., and Sue Davis, Amsterdam, MO.; a brother John Mast, Truth or Consequences, N.M.; a sister, Waneta Lovitt, Utica; and 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great grandchildren.

An inurnment service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gove Cemetery, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a memorial service at United Methodist Church, Gove, with the Rev. Joe Arganbright officating. The family suggests memorials to the Martha R.Chapman Memorial Fund. Koster Funeral Home, Oakley, is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary Register of Deeds Office Gove, KS

Gove -- Frances Burris, 55, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997, at the Hays Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Oakley to Leo and Rosa (Dechant) Schoenberger.

She married Henry Burris on Jan. 12, 1961, in Oakley. She was a homemaker and a lifetime area resident.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Ricky, Berryville, Ark., Robert, Wichita, and Jerry, Grainfield; two daughters, Wanda Russell, Hoxie, and Norma Thompson, Proctor, Colo.; her mother, Oakley; four brothers, Joseph "Bud" Schoenberger and Frank Schoenberger, both of Oakley, Leo Schoenberger, Litchfield, Neb., and Marvin Schoenberger, Garden City; four sisters, Katherine Maire Gottschalk, Dalhart, Texas Louise Ashbridge and Pauline Vise, both of Oakley, and Helen Criqui, Osage; ten grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father, June 4, 1971, six brothers, Seraphine, Robert Lee, Clarence, Fidelius and William and two sisters, Rosie Christine and Josephine Ann, and a grandchild James Henry Thompson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley, with the Rev. Kenneth Codner officiating burial in the Gove Cemetery.

Numan Aldrich
Numan Franklin Aldrich, oldest son of Al and Retta Aldrich born at Ransom, Kansas. In summer of 1906 moved with parents to Gove county.

April 1, 1918 married Rosa Burris who died May 7, 1918. Nov. 28 1935 married Leta Burris. Two children were born:
Richard Marion and Doras Elaine.



Our county register of deeds has kept records as such as above and since you maintane Numan's record please add the above information. Thanks
