RE: Sipes
I also took a photo of Syrilda Sipes who I thought, from the inscription on her stone, was probably their daughter. Hope that will help you as well.

RE: Hutches Stones
It was a pleasure to help. If I see a family group or know of a family connection I usually take pictures and post them if the memorials exist in Find a Grave.

Regards,
Brad

Re: family
It is hard to fasten down a birth year for him. I have been told that he is buried in Illinois.

Would love to see the tree you have on Ancestry. I searched the public trees to see if I could find anything. Came across you today searching for Sipes images on Google. Never know what you might find.

If you want information on Wesley I'll try to help.

Thanks for the reply.

Lucinda "Lucy" Sipes
Researching my wife's line which goes through Claiborne Sipes b.1813 Breckenridge, Ky. He had an older sister Lucinda Lucy Sipes born Feb. 20 died 1904. Is this the same one?

Molly's buried in the same site. She's not "so far away".

Regarding the condition of the site, they are in the first stage of a process to renovate that section of the cemetery. What has happened over the years is that many of the gravesites have settled. Dirt has been brought in and used to fill the depressions. I assume once the hot dry summer weather passes, new seed or sod will be used to create a new lawn. I walk the various sections of the cemetery 3 or 4 times a week, and I can tell you that most sections look fine, considering the dry weather we've been having.

I did not plan to go back to the Bridgeport Cemetery any time soon, but put your photo requests in, someone might be over there sooner than you think.

Hi Linda,

I wanted to let you know that I went to Crown Hill yesterday to look for John grace site but have not found it. I need to go to the office to verify that he has a head stone. I did find 6 other Nicolai in that area but I don't know that they are ones you need. Will let you know later what we find out.

Take care
Norma

RE: Addison White
Zachary Taylor is the big cemetery and it is in charge of the Cave Hill National Cemetery (which is located inside Cave Hill Cemetery). There are about 6100 Union soldiers and 228 Confederate soldiers located at Cave Hill. Zacary Taylor takes care of all burials and stones and Cave Hill only takes care of the grounds. I'm glad I was able to be of help.

RE: Addison White
You said his birth was May 3, 1869...don't you mean death.

I know that "Addison" was not a common name for quite awhile but it is a name that is coming back into use. A friend of mine has a grandson named Addison.

I found a list of Addison Whites on the VA's Nationwide Gravesite Locator website and copied them for you.

RE: The Whites
Hi Linda
I do have another photo of a headstone next to the White's that is also a "White". However, it is so worn that "White" is the only thing that can be read on it. Possibly the last three letters of the first name could be "EBAN" I can send you the photo if you send me your email address.
Regards, Ron
