Oops! - Reuben Thomas Rogerson
I tried to delete or correct my post, but could not. I owe you an apology Deborah. It looks like his parents were Ransom Rogerson 1809 1880
and Mom: Harriett Hattie Ward 1813 1880

I am confused. I need to study this some more.
I guess they each named a child after them.

Reuben Thomas Rogerson
Hi Deborah. Thank you for your interest in my family! Reuben is the father of all the calculated children listed. He is not the son of Ransom & Harriet - they are siblings:)

His wife was Caroline Matilda Cherry.

Vhildren - not in order of birth
Daughter - Harriet Louvenia Rogerson Harris
Daughter - Ernest Allevia Rogerson Ward
Son - Ransom Leonogy "Lonnie" Rogerson
Son - Levi William "Will" Rogerson
Son - Eli Thomas Rogerson
Son - Joseph Jourden ROGERSon

The last name was Rogerson, but was later shortened
to Rogers. My mom, aunt & uncles had no idea until I told them.

God bless,

"william"

Im just wondering how the name "William" was attached to this headstone... Its my Great great grandfather and no one knows what his "real" name is. Do you know if this is a typo or was he actually called William instead of Robert??

Jacob Edwards@ Maplewood Cemetery
Hi Deborah:

I've made the corrections to "Jake's" memorial and was wondering if you are related to him and his parents (Brittain, Brittin, Britton - spelled so many different ways) and Winiford Byrum Edwards. Britton was my 3rd great uncle, the brother of my 2d great grandfather, Jonas Edwards, and the son of Britton Edwards II.

Do you know anything about this person's father? I'm trying to determine if her father John is the same John Barnhill that I research. Could you let me know please? Thank you,

Eli Mercer
"Hi, I found a headstone for Eli N. Mercer, born Sept 22, 1850, died Aug 17, 1899. The headstone is in Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson County, NC. Eli shares a headstone with his wife Cornelia Privett."
Interesting date of plot purchase in Evergreen Cem, St Augustine is same date on stone in Wilson, NC. Maybe he was in Florida and body never taken back to NC. I don't know. Your call.

Try, try again :)
Well -- I read an email from you late last night, and this morning it is missing from my email account entirely! I guess that I was so tired, I deleted your email message by mistake! Please forward your message to me again at MarthaHopscotch@outlook.com when you get a chance. I just have a very simple question for you, about Maplewood. Thanks! Martha

RE: Tomlinson, Lamm, etc.
Thank you, Deborah, We visited the Rock Hill Cemetery at Milbournie FWB Church & were delighted to meet another distant cousin, Dennis Willamson, who showed us around. It's somewhat different from when we visited about 20 years ago. We found the other direct ancestors you entered, Lamm & Tomlinson, so happy to know their stones are there. Saw probably your Grover Cemetery on the way toward Raleigh. All the best, Carole
