#152037334 - Hi! I saw the photo request and got your edit, but didn't get to the cemetery today. I did however find an obituary and a death notice for Mary S. Green Gross # 152037346 that shows she was married to Frank Gross. I'll try to get down to the cemetery this week.

RE: Lawrence West Jr.
Thanks for catching this, the edit was sent to me. However ,if you look at the stone in McGraw, 1944 is in the spot for birth date, with no death date, so she may be still alive, being younger than Lawrence Sr. But still, if she was born in 1944, it would mean that she was only age 6 when Lawrence Jr. was born. Lawrence's first wife?, or maybe second wife? Irene, died in 1949, young at age 32, I wonder if maybe she died in child birth, and these dates are incorrect? Irene is buried in the same cemetery. Anyhow,I'll just link him to his father, and hope maybe someone will have the answer. Thanks' again, Larry

As I recall, there was only a headstone base in the vicinity of his grave. I'm currently travelling and can't check my original photos until the end of the month.

Kem; I went back to the original cemetery records located in the NY Gen Web Site. The information here is from the records compiled by Alan Chaffee over 60 years ago when the stones were much eaiser to read. Quote: Died Sept 21, 1877 aged 11 mo's 15 days. Therefore, born Oct 6, 1876. I have no idea how I got the date so wrong. Memorial has been corrected. Regards....Don Short

Armina Mathewson Gross
What information do you have on Armina? I have her maiden name as Gosper. She married at least 4 times. First to David B. Haight, second to Ebenezer Blake, third to Joseph West, Fourth to Alphonzo Gross. I didn't know about a Mathewson marriage.

Trying to sort all this out. Please email me.
Thanks, Lynette

RE: Minor J. Gage - Evergreen Cemetery, Owego Tioga County, NY
His age came from a burial listing that the Town of Owsego has online (http://www.villageofowego.com/PageZoneSiteResources/owego2010-10-06/Resources/file/CEM-BURIAl-ALPHA-10-1-09.pdf). I have no additional info.

I did photograph the entire cemetery and have entered every gravestone that I could read. Either he has none, it wasn't readable, it had fallen and the words were buried or I missed it.

RE: Claude Fox headstone - Glenwood Cemetery
You're very welcome, Kem! I'm happy to be able to help. I can't recall the full name on the stone next to Claude's. I do remember being somewhat confused by the markings on that grave. I didn't get the sense that there was any relationship to Claude; I remember wondering if there was a connection, due to the proximity of the stones. I'll be going back to Glenwood Cemetery to take more photos before too long, and I'll check again and send you photos of it. Don't be shy about reminding me, if you don't hear back from me soon!

RE: Transcription of headstone info
If you click on the photo of the stone, it will bring you to a larger version. Most is readable. I am not planning to go there anytime soon.
