Are you sure that his wife's name was Amanda - I show it to be Hannah Sechler.(1805-1838) - maybe he had two wives and Amanda was the 2nd one.

RE: Annie Frederick High
Eileen, Thank you so much for your message regarding Anna L. Frederick High (141748915). I agree that it is a duplicate of the memorial for Anna Knoll (106453654). Since I created the memorial later and the other memorial has a photo of the stone, I will be deleting my memorial. I also think it would be good for there to be an explanation on the remaining memorial why there is confusion about Anna's name. Thank you for the details concerning her common law marriage and the loss of her common law husband. These are the details that help us "know" our deceased ancestors better than just the dates. I will send a message to the other contribute. Thank you so much for your hard work and willingness to share.

Helen James

I have notified the other party that their memorial posted on 2015 for Helen is a duplicate of one already posted on 2012, and have asked them to delete it. Meanwhile, I have transferred the 2012 memorial of Helen to your care.

RE: Ida E Ziegler
Thanks for the note. The photo I took was definitely at Arlington Cemetery. Ida is listed in the cemetery's online records, which is where the Lloyds likely found the information. Take a look at

RE: Joseph Paley Photo
Hi! You are very welcome. Always glad to assist. When I took Joseph's photo, I discovered that Maude (1876 - 1935) was buried next to him. If you would create a memorial site for her on Find A Grave, I would be happy to upload a photo to her site as well. Pat

RE: Harry Quillman Angstadt
I agree that some Pa death certificates should not post. Just ran into a suicide and did not post. Mine is also a friendly message. Like you, I just want these Berks County pioneers to be remembered. I respect their religious beliefs, courage and fortitude. I also have noticed that many of these ancestors lived to be quite old, even in the 18th Century.

So, thanks for the changes, transfers, and all the memorials you have posted. I live in Arizona now so we do not often get snow. I only get back to Berks County but once a year.

Feel free to send an email to me if you would like the links to my posted trees. They are published on, Tribal Pages, and Rootsweb.

Thank you for your input and changes. I think the Pa death certificates are a great resource. They are all posted for free by the Pa Archives from 1906-1963. I do however understand the concern for the privacy of the living.

The Reading Eagles where all scanned and posted by Google Newspapers, so they are in the public domain for all to see.

Harry is my great uncle.

Thank you for your input.

RE: Johan George Fegley
Send me a list of those records you would take ownership of and I'll transfer them to you. If Find A Grave can't address my concerns I may be forced to remove all my records rather than have my name associated with bogus information and I want to give you an opportunity to own what you want before I take action.

I have spent years documenting my tree and currently have more than 10,000 names in the database. I have a reputation and for Find A Grave to allow anyone to post up a change and have that request default to "Accept", making me responsible for constant vigilance to prevent corruption, is ludicrous. If I'm away on a trip or incapacitated for some reason my records can get automatically corrupted with bogus information yet it remains my name as the owner of the record making me look incompetent. I can't allow that.

Well I deleted the Vogles for a second time and also sent an email to Find A Grave explaining the problem. They need to get to the root of this as it affects the integrity of the information on the site. If the change is coming from an edit or "correction" request I'm not seeing it and I've never been notified of such a request.

RE: Johan George Fegley
Well now that's a real mystery. I have the same information you have and have never even heard of Vogle. I certainly never entered those links and have no idea how they got there. I deleted the links. Take a look at my notes on his page and you'll see I did enter his correct parents 8 years ago when I first created the page. Hope that clears up any confusion. I can tell you it has me concerned that erroneous links can appear on what are supposed to be secured entries that only the originator is supposed to be able to edit.

Not a problem! I do believe we can claim fat-finger syndrome on dropdown lists. I know I have to watch those 11s and 22s, Apr vs Augs, and Mar vs Mays...they catch me up all the time! ;) Hopefully I won't have too many more for you. I finally finished up photographing the cemetery, so now I'm working on matching and uploading!

I received your note about Helen. Is she family? I can transfer her to you. If not, I would like to Put a note in her biography about her second marriage and the burial in Forest Hills. Which Forest Hills? New York? I found slews of William Lebos. Do you know if he has a memorial on Find A Grave?

Donna Matz memorial
I got your message about the wrong cemetery for Donna Matz and have corrected it. The original creator Dee evidently took a listing of the Charles Evans Cemetery burials and put them all in the Forest Hills cemetery. I found that with some of my relatives and tried to contact Dee, but was inactive. I contacted find a grave and they transferred all of Dee's Forest Hills memorials to me and I checked and they were all buried in Charles Evans Cemetery. I made all of the corrections, but I guess I over looked the Matz memorials, sorry. I will be glad to transfer them to you because I have no relationship. I also changed James C Matz. I don't know if Donna and James are related.

Ok, I was in the area today and got the monument. Almost missed it. Had to look at it from behind from the car. I have no idea why I missed it the first time. Some of my discs were not working, but I'm guessing I had it but didn't enter it!! Thanks!!
