Jamie Kay
Florence Elizabeth Corya
Hello!
I've done some Corya research, and according to the 1900 Census in Center, Jennings, IN, Florence was born in October 1896, not 1900. This is consistent with her age of 13 on the 1910 Census in Shelbyville, Shelby, IN as well as her age of 23 on the 1920 Census in Indianapolis, Marion, IN.
Hope that's helpful!

RE: Charles and M. Ann Phelps Grave
I did a little on the Ames as I can't add someone with little info on findagrave. I have to do a little digging! Anyways, I believe Orpheus or Nelson (as I think he went more by Nelson) remarried a Mary S. in Iowa after the passing of Nellie here.

I did photograph the entire stone while there! I posted the pics last night. They are: Nellie (Gordon) wife of Nelson O. Ames and Orpheus Nelson Ames. Not sure if this would be Mary's brother since they're so close in age or how they're related. I didn't research that part. As you can see from my pictures, Nellie has an entire poem written on her side. It was hard to read all of it and what I read wasn't making sense to me. I posted the picture anyways!

It was fairly readable! The other side has Ames on it so I almost missed the Phelps. I'll be posting the Ames part of stone within next day or two if you're interested. Possibly her brother (I'm guessing here) and his wife.

We did not find a personal marker. 6 fellow gravers got together to walk these areas. We paired up and went through these tough sections.

Charlotte and Isaih Lew
Hello. I just posted photos for Charlotte and Isaih Lew. You were correct in that they are not in the Weisman family plot in Block 16, but rather down the road and around the corner in Block 17. Take care, Julie.

RE: Weismans in Cedar Park
Hello, I just created entries for Bernard Weisman, Andrew Weisman, Louis Davidoff, Rae Kohan, Sol Kohan, Charles Dratt, David Sevush, and Norma Sevush, along with the photos I took yesterday. (I also transferred management of these entries over to you so you can adjust the details and family relationships as you see fit.) I will go back this weekend to get the photo of Charlotte's headstone and also to confirm that I photographed everyone in the two plots. If you ever add any family photos to these entries I would welcome seeing them as I do feel connected in some small way to the people I search for. Take care, Julie.

Weismans in Cedar Park
Hello. I just posted photos for all of your Weisman photo requests except for Charlotte Weisman Lew. I must have missed her stone, I'm sorry; I will try to go back this week for her photo. Also, I photographed the other graves in the two plots thinking you might want those as well (including Bernard Wiseman, Andrew Wiseman, Louis Davidoff, Rae Kohan, Sol Kohan, Charles Dratt, David Sevush, and Norma Sevush) and will create those entries shortly. Take care, Julie

I am thrilled that this little gesture can bring some joy to people. I am a volunteer Historian at Maple Grove and teach history full time at the local elementary school. I have found the cemetery to be treasure trove of resources on the past and use it is creating lesson plans and projects for the children. My students created a wonderful project now called Spirits Alive. It has become an annual event that has become very educational and a big draw in the community.

We have a remarkable cemetery and now have a new Center with conference room and even a Concert Hall and honor many of those who have passed by honoring what they had accomplish through concerts and all kinds of programs. Check
www.friendsofmaplegrove.org

I enjoy collecting family stories and copies of photos if you have any to share we would very much like to hear them.

Susanna Rankin
Hello,

I took a photo of Susanna marker, and her husband is not located in the cemetery or could not locate a death cert. for him in Missouri a least to 1961. I also checked with the cemetery on him. There is a Mary Rankin that was buried next to her and will add it. Larry

RE: Thank You So Much
The death dates matched for both people. My daughter helped by adjusting the lighting and brightness of the photos to better see the names and dates. There was three other people on the same headstone as them, but the names were barely legible. We are trying to see who they are but it will take a little time.

Your Kindness Brings Tears to My Eyes
Thank you so very much for going back to the cemetery to double check inscriptions and then to
go to the Attica Library as well. The fact that
one person is named Eliza Powers rather than
Eliza Rininger is just one fact that helps put
my research in a helpful new direction. May someone return your generosity ten fold!
