Parliman @ Dutch Reformed Church in Montville, NJ
I spoke with the woman who keeps the cemetery records. A fire in 1930 destroyed the records so anything prior to that is not on record. I walked the cemetery this morning and while I did see a couple of Parliman stones, none of them were for Mary or Leander. There are many sunken or smoothed stones in the vicinity so it could be one of those.

RE: Maria Allen Thompkins
Hi Grant,

I've tried every search combination I can think of to find a news item regarding Maria Allen Tompkins' death in the Republican Watchman, with no luck. I've used alternate spellings, fuzzy searches, her husband's name, as well as the names of her children, in-laws and her parents (assuming they were Reuben and Betsy/Betsey/Elizabeth). I'll try again when I have a little more time, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Kindest regards,
Vivian

RE: Sarah Allen
Hi Grant,

The entries for Alson Tompkins and Asereth Sherwood (Republican Watchman - Grayscale - 407) appear to be part of the "List of letters remaining in the post office at Monticello, N.Y., January 1st, 1839."

Ditto for the Grayscale - 403 page. I'll send you a copy via email.

RE: Lena A Lyon
Please use the Edit tab on the memorials that you want me to make the changes to. It is the only way that I will accept changes. I am happy to make them but ask that it is done this way because it sends me a link and it is less likely that I update the wrong memorial.

Thanks,
Paul

Grant- Thanks for connecting the two Pecks for me and the other descendents. I didn't realize you were a Sherwood? Lovica Sherwood is a direct ancestor of mine as well. I intend to read your Blog to find out more about the Sherwoods. The Sherwood Cemetary in Pleasant Mount is an interesting place to visit. My Great Uncle Ralph Kennedy used to take me there to groom the plots when I was just a boy. We used to clean up plots there, the Peck plots, and Greenwood Cemetary plots as well as those of the Pecks and Kennedys in the Wheeler Hill Cemetary. Thanks again. Andy

Grant: I would be happy to transfer the memorial to you if it were mine. However is belongs to another contributor. I have been told his name is Wayne Moss and from the memorial I get this email address

wfm_sr@yahoo.com

If for some reason he does not respond to you, you can request the Find A Grave management to transfer it to you. I have had fairly good luck that way when a contributor is no longer available. good luck ... Jerry

Hi Grant, Henry Miller is buried in Section N, Lot 6, Grave 1; Mrs. Katie Miller, died 1910, in Grave 3; Nathaniel B, died 1916, in Grave 4 and William Henry, died 1883 in Grave 5. I do not know who is in Grave 2 or Grave 6 and I do not see a Debra Miller listed in the Oakland database.

Hi Grant -
I apologize for not answering you sooner. I'm not sure what kind of information you are looking for on Charles Sherwood, but here are some useful links in the area:
http://www.waynehistorypa.org/library.php

http://dunhamwilcox.net/ny/cochecton_presby_ch.htm

I'm not related, just a volunteer, but if you tell me what you are looking for, maybe I can help.
Best Regards,
Caz
