Tomson Graves in Gott Cemetery
Happy holidays,
Thank you for the additions to the memorials for the Tomsons in Gott Cemetery. I transcribed the gravestones years ago, and Bill Tomson helped me fill in the blanks about how the people were related to him. Appreciate it.

Headstone photo for Eula Mae Rodden
You have the headstone photo for my 6th cousin Eula Mae Davis Rodden memorial # 92888905 at Robinett Cemetery, Brumley, Missouri.

Would it be ok to use your photos on my Ancestry.com family tree? I will include (Find-a-Grave photo & permission by bcw660816) for each photo I use.

Thanks in advance Wanda Pierce Johnson

Karen Woods
addie vilbert/atwell cemetery
I noticed that the record was added Sept. 2011. I have been trying to find information regarding Addie. I wondered where the information came from that was added... was it per her headstone, via information from someone, death certificate or where the information was obtained.

Some information that you might like to add is the following: Addie is the half-sister of Lily (Lillie) O. (Kellison) Ponder who is buried at Atwell. Addie (Ford) Vilbert was married to Fredrick Vilbert who is buried at Delhi Cemetery, in Crawford County, Missouri. Her parents were James and Adaline (Addie)(Matlock) Ford. James died before 1860 and Adaline married John Kellison, Lillie's father. Addie (Matlock)(Ford)Kellison died in 1915 and is buried at Delhi Cemetery also. Neither she (Addie Kellison) or Fredrick Vilbert have headstones.

Thank you for your times. I would love to hear from anyone with information regarding the families of Addie or Lillie.

Karen

Jean Buersmeyer
Marion Strater Armentrout - 64709157
Marion and Dorlis Armentrout moved to Osage county, to the Lock Mill Farm near Koeltztown, in 1950. Marion raised cattle and hogs and Dorlis taught high school English and also was counselor. Each of them is a ninth generation American. His first Amentrout German ancestor settled in Pennsylvania in 1735, while her Gott Ancestor came from England to Virginia in 1660. Later the Armentrouts migrated to Virginia for a few generations, then Marion's parents went to North Dakota in 1903. A Gott family traveled to Tennessee then on to Miller county about 1830.

Marion spent four years in the Air Corps during World War II. He was flight engineer on a B-24 Bomber for sixty-five missions over the target in the South Pacific out of New Guinea. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and five Battle Stars for his brave work.

When they retired in 1974 they bought a house on Main Street in Westphalia from the Casper Buersmeyer heirs, did some repair and remodeling work, and enjoy living in the old home, one which had been built in 1901 by the Mother of Father John Melies. The house is well known for its beautiful woodwork.

Here Dorlis follows her hobbies of writing, reading and sewing. Marion enjoys woodcutting, which they use to supplement electric heat, gardening and yard work.

Info from St. Joseph Sesquicentennial Book, Westphalia, MO Pg. 122.
