Nancy Hughes Miller
map for Wm Duplin Gore's grave?
Hi My name is Nancy Hughes Miller and new to genealogy. Hooked! I grew up in Tabor City. My great, great, great, great Grandfather is William Duplin Gore. via Dr. David Needham Gore's (1835-1910) daughter Sarah Florida married WJ Hughes (1854-1924), father of David James Hughes (1887-1933), father of my father Phil Hughes (1921-1992). This weekend and next I plan to visit many graves -- taking photos of some that have not been documented. But I need the map to the Gore cemetery where William Duplin Gore is buried -- or directions. Thanks so much for all you do! Nancy

Hello Linda,
I received your edit request for this Mrs. Patrick. The grave marker clearly states Sarah, are you saying the marker is in error? What are you basing the spelling on?

RE: Permission to use your photos
I sorta go round the world with all the names... Clapp on my paternal side, Hicks married a Smith who married a Clapp, Townsend who married a Clapp, Ivey...I don't know yet if this is an Ivey who married a Hadley on my maternal side I'm just really enjoying working on my family tree...I have about 7,000 names in it now but I'm just a iddy bitty kin to most of them but then we all are about that close to Adam & Eve.

I love having a picture for some of them but I know I can't for all of them. I am 78 years old and do not drive so I depend on the kindness of others so thank you with your help on my family tree.

More pictures are needed but someone reported,

"This burial is on private property or is otherwise inaccessible. They also reported, specifically:
The GPS takes you to an "unpaved road" but was really a grass clearing through growing crops on both sides."

However, you took pictures there.

Please write about your pictures and where you found them???

Zoe

RE: Dixie Spaulding Fife
I am double related to John K. Fife and Catherine Rupe. John K. and Catherine were my husband's greatgrandparents thru their son Abel Sargent Fife and my greatgrandparents 2x removed thru their son John Matthew Fife. My mother was a Fife and I married what I thought was my 4th cousin as my 2nd spouse. But Donald Fife turned out to be my 1st cousin 2x removed. There was no Issue, both of us were too old. Howard who married Dixie Zeek, was the brother of my Donald. Which Fife did you come across? I have them pretty well documented.

If you are talking about Perry Point Cemetery that is what it was called when I first saw the Cemetery in the early 2000's 2002 as you say. Then someone at Find A Grave put it in as Perry Cemetery (thus, the 2 cemeteries that appear as the same cemetery). Dixie Spaulding Zeek was the 2nd wife of my brother-in-law Howard Fife. However she was buried next to her 1st husband. Howard Fife is also buried in that same cemetery.
