My source was "Clay County Cemeries East of the Cumberland River" edited by Laquannah Crowder in 2007. The entry was made possible by auto correct spelling. I deleted my entry as well as another record in the same cemetery. I am always happy to correct my errors and appreciate those who find them. Thanks

|cyber sexton||Nellie Daniels|
The Nellie Daniels memorial I created in St. Johns Cemetery was made using a book of cemeteries for Clay County last edited in 2007. The entry indicates a funeral home marker present with no dates or headstone. I have no way of knowing if it the same as the Nellie Daniels in Nelson Cemetery. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

The Walter Webb books were edited by a group including Laquannah Crowder, my high school typing instructor. I graduated in 1961. The two books Clay County Cemeteries East of the Cumberland River and Clay county Cemeteries West of the Cumberland River.

|cyber sexton||Sophia Hosley|
The incorrect memorial Sophia Homely has been deleted. Thank you for catching my error. I used a book edited in 2007 concerning burials in my native Clay County. What is your access to death records past 1958? Although I have visited Free Hills (correct name not Free Hill) Cemetery many times that was before I became a member of Find A Grave.

|MN||Olivia Slinkard Hembree Belcher|
No kin at all. I got involved with this family because I had unintentionally made a duplicate memorial For Benjamin Franklin Belcher, husband of the Slinkard sisters. The manager of Benj F. had noted a father and mother for him that was incorrect and that he died in another county. She had him linked to the wives. What happened is there were two Frank Belcher's and she had identified Clara/Olivia's husband as the other one who is buried elsewhere in another part of the state. I found death cert for Frank #2, who was just Frank not B.F. and easy to track him from that. I had made my dup from the death cert for B F. before catching Susan's memorial and started looking to see where the incorrect inf on her memorial came from and found #2 Frank. We started working back and forth and I sent her all that I found and we got B.F. linked to the correct parents and the correct place of death. I ask her to just add what I had in Benj Franks bio, link him to the correct parents and all would be good, and that I would delete mine and I did
All of this to say when I make a memorial I start trying to track the family and see if I can link others myself or ask to have them linked. If you want to see how this happened with B. Frank look at the messages on my page and the ones on B.F.'s manager's page. I have plenty of time to search and like getting families together. I also like trying to find information to add to the bio that will show it is the person I have made a memorial for. These two Belchers were also born the same year making it more confusing.

Hi - So I did a little research to find out why I have Lou Ann in Mount View and per her death cert that is where she is buried. Maybe her location was changed last minute.?? I looked at both cemetery locations and they are considerable far apart. Per Find A Grave Mt View cemetery is in DeKalb County. However, its current location is in Warren County. Maybe at one time DeKalb county was considerably larger? Not sure. I will request a photo per my cemetery location and see what comes up. In the meantime I have noted in her bio section that she may be buried in a different location. Research continuing. Let me know if there is anything else I can do at this time. - Tammy

I received your message regarding James H Sparkman , husband of Susannah Witt Sparkman. Yes, that is the correct person. It sounds like it would be a problem finding his headstone. If it is too much trouble, don't worry about it.

|Rush Rich||Jonathan Hull|
Jane: I happened to run across the Bethasida Cemetery site quite by accident. After I did, I and my cousin Charlie Hull took a trip to the cemetery to see if we could find the grave of Jonathan and Nancy Hull. The cemetery is not a very large one and we gave it a good going over. A lot of Hull's are buried there, but we could not find a headstone for Jonathan Hull.
I have also heard that Jonathan passed away while living at Whiteyville in Jackson County. Charlie and I also made a trip to Whiteyville and talked to some of the people in that area. We couldn't find him there either. We also stopped by the funeral homes and asked for any help they could give us. We didn't learn anything new. If we could some how come up with a death certificate, we may have something to go on. Let me know if I can be of any help.
