RE: Memorial #121788323 -a question please
Marcialyn, I copied this memorial from a indexed listing for Canton cemetery. I have no idea what is correct. But I will add your information if you send it. Thanks!

RE: 79059602 Reverend John G Tunison
nope he's there.

the problem with this one is it is in a lot that doesn't have plots i.e. lot = 0 meaning that plots aren't sold in this section. If you tried to list sec 53 lot 0 you might hang up the server so I do recommend that you don't do this. You'll have to search by name. I found Rev. Tunison and 3 other tunisons but I didn't check as of yet to see if they are related.

I updated the memorial with the info on the burial index.

thanks.

Read my profile concerning the URL. We are slowly removing it . About 200,000 records to go.

RE: Pauline Sparks Hartley
The lot is there, and I don't doubt it's the correct lot that was posted on the memorial. I just didn't find a marker for her. However, because of the size and complexity of Green Lawn, I always do at least two searches, and sometimes three, before I allow myself to be convinced there is no marker. I'll be doing another search for this marker before the summer is out. About 20% of the time I find that by approaching the given lot from a different reference point (than used on the first search) yields results, or at least a definitive no.

You're quite welcome! I got that idea about placing a flower to mark where the headstone/marker should be from another volunteer; I'm glad you agree that it adds a closure of sorts to the search.

RE: G. Bedient-Norwalk Death Records write up
Hi there,

I know it was in the month of January, but I have to check it again for the actual date. I expect to be back there late next week to work on the project a bit more.

Have a great 4th of July.

The Greatful Dead
Hi, This has nothing to do with Find A Grave but, where I worked in San Rafael, the Dead had there practice studio next door. My children grew up calling them uncle Mike and Unckie Jerry. When I would bring the kids to work on the weekends the guys would come over and get the kids and let them hang around with them while they practiced. I just had to share this story just in case you never heard about it. Thank you for taking me down memory road. Blessings Jo

RE: #10411711 James Albert Petray bio
Thank you so much for sending the link to James Petray's coroner inquisition. The information is fantastic. I have incorporated much of the detail into his bio and added a link to the original document. I really appreciate your help!

George Bernthal # 68658764
I did find an unmarked stone in the Michael & Regina Bernthal plot in Section 5 (The cemetery office said George is buried in Section 5. I searched the entire Section 5 twice and only found Michael & Regina's headstone and the blank one near theirs.) I put the photo on his memorial page. I will remove it if you want me to.

No longer "assuming" he was a soldier--I shot his headstone, he was definitely a soldier.

RE: Emma Garrison Jones edit
Mystery sort of solved, though I still have no idea how or why I suggested the edit. F.H. Garrison was her brother. He died in 1863 in Gallatin, TN (assuming he was a soldier), and a poem she wrote about/to him was published February 25, 1863 in the Dollar Newspaper.

Please accept my apology--I never do this. What I saw that led me to believe that was correct information I'll never know, because I don't recall doing it. I vaguely recall posting the photo and suggesting something. If I didn't know better, I'd suggest this was some Find a Grave glitch, but that's certainly not the case.

I'll do the html magic from his side, link them as siblings. Wish I had a clue where their parents were. Maybe Garrisonville?

Embarrassed.

RE: Emma Garrison Jones edit
Not offended at all! Sadly, I have almost no memory of suggesting the edit, which means I was just running down the rows in a flurry of activity. I do have this, which shows her brother as J.R. Harrison:

Jones, Emma Garrison d. 2 Feb 1898 R92/70
Jones.

On Wednesday, February 2, 1898 at the residence of her brother, J.R. Garrison, 1427 R street northwest after a very brief illness, Mrs. Emma Garrison Jones of Martinsburg co., Va. Funeral from her brother's residence, 1427 R street northwest, Friday, February 4 at 2:30 o'clock p.m. Interment private.

Let me dig around, see where I found that. And no worries, you're absolutely right to ask!

I am indeed a relation (a 2nd cousin 2x removed) to her. I presume you are a relation as well? I see you've done some work on her family. I will try to get in touch with you privately to share more information.
