Inquiry on Emmels
This Emmel family is my relative. I will gladly get the headstones out on the database of find a grave. Sarah is not in her listed grave, sarah is in an unmark grave. Francis has unmarked grave and has a child. Are you relative to Conrad or Sarah Emmel/Devlin?

RE: Herbert, Clara and Eva Powell
Our pleasure, Barbara. We posted all the Powells, and there were two "extras" on the family plot. I wondered if you knew if/how they were related to the Powells; Nicole L. hughes and Randall P. smith? Thank you if you have any info. Bill and April

I found an obit for him, added it to his memorial. If you would like the memorial transferred, I'd be more than happy to transfer it.

WHEW! I don't know how you figured all of that out. What a mess! I have deleted the link to the Leonard and I hope that helps. If you are related, would you like this memorial?

Sarah Mayberry in Old Smith
I found a cemetery card at the Windham Historical Society that indicates that the Sarah Mayberry you are looking for was buried in Mayberry Cemetery, not Old Smith. The card indicated she died on 6/13/1858 at 82 years of age and was the wife of Samuel Mayberry. I will travel to that cemetery in the next week or two (if it stops raining...)

TY, I added her death record and changed the date to 1871, but added a note. I think that the death record is likely the correct date.

Old Smith Cemetery bust

I was unable to find either John and no Sarah Mayberry in Old Smith today. Before I report this problem, I will check with the Windham cemetery guy to see if I can confirm they were buried in Old Smith, and if I can get a fix on exactly where.

Thanks for the correction. I've added a note that Irwin is incorrect. Just in case someone finds the same record and sends a reverse edit! LOL

I added your notes on the name spelling to his bio. It is very well written and should answer any questions. Hope that is OK.

No, no duplicates are allowed, ever. I understand your concerns about researchers finding this family. Find a Grave requires the memorial name match the stone. There is a 2001 reading for this cemetery and I based the memorial on that. I have also requested a photo to confirm and will adjust the spelling based on the photo.
The good news- Ancestry and Family Search index any names in the bio. If we add spelling explanations there, we should be covered and they will be found. Remember this is a grave registration site and that is our first concern.
This has been a fun family to research! Thanks. Let me know if there is anything else to add. Judi

Thank you for sending this name change. Is this an error in spelling or an "Americanization" of the original German spelling? Do you know what is written on the gravestones? I don't have a problem accepting this spelling if it matches the stone. Let me do a little research or request a photo.

RE: The Brown Family
In regards to the location /relation of baby Emma Brown to Frank and Arilla Brown in the North New Portland cemetery; I may have to visit again just to be sure, but they were taken in sequence, Frank and Arilla and then Emma. So, I'm thinking they are close, but I can let you know for sure.

I do not mine the edits. I do some but do not just click. I try to get them done in a week. I do find wrong information given so I look at them all before I do them. Just keep them coming.

RE: More Copps at Sunset
Ah, but wait...3 more to add :) Elizabeth (Betsey), Amos and the infant son of Henry and Ann. The first two are just closer shots, the last is new. Some day our town will enter the 21st century.

I did not take photos of all the stones. The black flies were so bad that day. It is not close to me. I do have a list for this cemetery and he is not added. But they are not always complete. Embden has some small cemeteries. He may be in one in Embden.

Hi Barbara,
You are very welcome. It has taken quite a while to get rid of the snow! I have a few more to add (slow internet) and will also update Elizabeth and Amos Copp. Also, the infant son of Henry and Ann will be there soon. Sorry it takes so long.
