Dear Ron,

Thank you for photographing the location of her burial. It's a shame there's no headstone, but your festive flower and her printed name are much appreciated.

He immigrated 1905 with parents Morris and Rebecca (nee?) Armonoffsky/Armonossky.

Her was married to Sarah Cohen --born USA.

After he arrived, he always lived in Rochester.

RE: Photo Request
Yes, this was my first photo request. I looked up Evergreen Cemetery since I wasn't sure where it's located. I see it's near Memorial Park on Hancock Parkway in Colorado Springs. I also saw there were several photo requests for it. I thought I'd start doing some of those photos. What is the secret?

linking Jones and Hilton
Ron - Thanks for posting the graves of my grandmother, her sisters, and their parents in the Santa Maria, CA cemetery.

You have linked Edna Nance Moore and Mamie Nance Henry and their mother Margaret Gossage Smith Nance. And you have linked Thomas Clayton Nance with Edna and Mamie and a half sibling Willard Seymour Nance. Thank you.

But there are two others that need linking also. One is Myrtle H[Hillen] Jones (no Nance in the name), and the other is Carrie Nance Hilton.

The whole family is (1)
Thomas Clayton Nance (father)
Anna Van Deusen (mother - buried in NY)
Willard Seymour Nance (son)
(Anna and Thomas were divorced; she did not like the primitive western U. S.)

and (2)
Thomas Clayton Nance (father)
Margaret Gossage Smith Nance (mother)
Myrtle Hillen (Nance) Jones (daughter)
Mamie Nance Henry (daughter)
Carrie Nance Hilton (daughter)
Edna Nance Moore (daughter)

I do not know how to link all of these in Find-a-grave. You have them all, but only partially linked. I invite you to link the others.

Thanks
Larry Turner (grandson of Myrtle H. Jones)

Question on Death Date and Place of William Grant Reid
Ron West,

You posted a Find A Grave (William G Reid, Find A Grave Memorial# 95971013) for William G Reid citing a birth in 1886 in Iowa, a death date of Jan. 29, 1938 & a burial in San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County, California, USA.

However I have found the records of a William Grant Reid:

1. Death record, with the same birth year (29 Apr 1886) and the same parents but a different birth place (Arizona), and a different death date & place, in Texas rather than, presumably California (05 Sep 1972, El Paso, El Paso, Texas, United States)("Texas Deaths, 1890-1976," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K368-JHJ).

2. Birth certificate, also confirmed a birth of 29 Apr 1886 but this time in Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa, United States ("Iowa, County Births, 1880-1935", (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V46D-GDT) confirming your original post.

3. William G Reid is found with his two brothers in the 1920 US Census (William G Reid in household of David Reid, "United States Census, 1920", https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MCRN-L75), although the brother, David W Reid, was miss-transcribed as a David H Reid in the census).

4. Birth dates were also confirmed in WWI ("United States World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918," https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KZVW-K3T) & WWII registrations ("United States World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942," (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XPKZ-9TT) although, again, the birth place was in El Paso, El Paso, Texas, United States.

5. The Death Certificate indicated burial in Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso Texas where I found a William Reid born 1886 and died 1972 (William Reid,
Find A Grave Memorial# 106762991).

Since there was no photos of tombstones for William (G) Reid on either Find A Grave posts, I was wondering what the primary source information you based your posting on or if I am confusing a remarkable coincidence of two different William G Reids (same birth date, same parents, same brothers..., but very different death dates).

Thanks for your efforts in posting this information.

Ron

Belle, Sophie & Casey
Before I go on the individual memorial pages to request transfers let me say 2 things.
The memorials for Belle, Sophie & Casey are quite simply the best memorials on the entire site.
And obviously.... you are "a good man".

Hi Ron,

I want to thank you for transferring my uncle. I appreciate it very much.
I also want to thank you for all you do for FindAGrave! Without volunteers like you, so many of us would have no idea where our loved ones were laid to rest! You rock!

Lynn McClure
Find A Grave Memorial# 74132376
Hi Ron,
This memorial is for Waneta Noreen McArthur Faulkner. I find that some of her information must be incorrect--she is listed in 1940 census with a mother named Irene (McArthur) Johnston, born 1908, and she is Waneta Johnston , born about 1928, along with a sister Patricia. I believe Waneta is listed with wrong birthdate on Find A Grave, and also that she should not be listed with the siblings. Her mother Irene should be the sibling, since she was born in 1908. Who can help me with this possible error?
Thank you so much, Lynn McClure (mclurly@gmail.com)
