RE: Obit for David A Phillips
My husband's family on his mother's side were from around that area. One of them had kept a scrap book from family and friends from that area which includes obits, weddings, family gatherings and such. I am assuming that most came from maybe a Glasford paper, but none have that info for sure or even dates.

Just wanted to say... I've never been to Peoria... And if I've ever been to IL, it was just to change planes at the airport... but I wanted to say, what an incredible job you do here. You truly ROCK! ~ ♡ ~ Kudos to you!!! ~ ♡ ~

RE: Obit for David A Phillips

David A Phillips was born in New York state October 18, 1820. Came west in early manhood. Met and married Rebecca I. Knox in Indiana. To them were born seven children four boys and three girls. To mourn his departure he leaves a wife and six children, some other relatives, and a host of friends in Glasford, where he resided at the time of his death, and where he is respected by all who know him. After suffering with dropsy for about a year died January 3, 1899, being 78 years 2 months and 25 days of age. Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday morning, Jan 4, by Rev. F. N. Wright, after which the body was taken to the Farmington cemetery for interment.

Searching for Harker-Cameron descendant
Dear One Foot in the Grave,

I'm looking for a great-granddaughter of this lady in your memorials:

Find A Grave Memorial# 22160971
Isabella A "Belle" Cameron Harker
Mar. 20, 1859-Jul. 9, 1938
Peoria County, Illinois

Tina WHITEHEAD (probably "Christina") posted queries on message boards about many of her ancestors, including Harkers & Camerons, until 2009-2010. The email address that she used at that time is no longer valid. I'm trying to share information with her about the JOHNSTONS & allied families of Bureau Co., Illinois and Rock Island Co., Illinois (originally from Ireland).

Have you ever been in contact with Tina, and if so, can you put us in touch with her?

Thanks so much for ANY help,

Mel, I don't know why he would have put them in Princeville unless he has a photo of their gravestones he's going by. They're not posted to the memorials (as you know). I guess I would just delete them since the obits both say Swan Lake.

Thomas E. Herridge
Their suggestion:
Son of Thomas E. Herridge and Matilda Ellen "Nellie/Etta" King. After his father died in 1894 his mother married Howard Simmons Edminster.

Where is the Thomas E. Herridge that died in 1894?
The only Thomas E. Herridge that I have in La Prairie died in 2002.

I see that "Jesse" Potts is listed as "Jefferson" Potts on the above memorial. Jesse Potts is my husband's 3rd gr-grandfather. As you will note, his gravestone says "Jesse." I have yet to see any document that says "Jefferson" Potts. I submit that perhaps someone misread the double "s" as they were written as double "f" in earlier days.
