You're MORE than welcome. It was a genuine privilege to help honor a loved one lost in such a sad way; too often, we don't see the depth of others' despair.
I always say a little prayer at each of my photo requests, but I said an extra one, not only for Mr. John, but also for his family; his despair was their sorrow. :(
I do apologize for the overly staged photo - I had to dig the peg up and set it at ground level making the surrounding area a tad muddy. I thought the leaves would help, but in the composite photo, they're a tad "stagey". :D
I personally have issues with memorials missing photos on unmarked graves. It's still a person's final resting place. They're almost more deserving of a photo - just my humble opinion; it's nice to see someone else shares it. :)
Thank you for your kind words. :)

This cemetery is huge. According to Mary, the computer only pulls up names from around 1998 forward. She said they can look the others up, but it takes a very long time. So I am going to fax her the list of names that I have and they are 'supposed' to look them up when they have a chance. She wasn't exactly friendly with me and seemed annoyed that I was there asking for plot numbers. In the meantime, I will keep looking. You can also try calling the office and see if you have better luck! :)

Hi Wendy!Highland Cemetery is my next big project.I was fortunate enough to get a copy of the plot maps. Although some are very hard to read, they will certainly help. I saw where you have multiple photo request out there for them. I hope to get as many as I can this summer. I was able to find Anna's because you had the plot location. This cemetery is absolutely HUGE. So any extra info you have on them will be beneficial. Take care! M.

Sec. L is not in plots so no green space is available. Sec. L is in rows, so I walked all the rows up and down. Sec. L is designated for 1 or 2 single burials per family. There are no markers to determine the exact plots. If you would like more info abt. Mary, you can contact Walter at the Clinton Grove cemetery office to pull her card.

|David W. Lee||RE: Hi David....|
Yes I do have his baptismal record from Ober Morlen, Germany in 1839 that states he was born illegitimately to Catharina Nicolai and that Caspar Huetter came forth voluntarily as the father (they later married). The William that is named as his father on the death certificate is actually Caspar's brother and is named on the baptismal record as a witness. This record is in German and I had it translated some years ago. Please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be happy to attach a copy of the record and the translation in a reply.

We were in my Grandma's home town of Augsburg,Germany for one day...should have been more organized but did see the church gr-grandparents were married and house where she lived after ...afterwards a cousin gave me a photo album of my grandparents return in 1952 showing graves and a grand house where my gr-grandparents lived before the war ...husbands weren't that interested so next time will leave them at the Hofbrau house!!..my other regret is I didn't ask my grandparents all the right questions when they were alive...had all 4 until I was 29...my tree on Ancestry is Hastreiter/Fasciana...researching all the time for other family connections...Carol

I have added obits to 2-3 Gessler memorials in Morrison Cemetery. I have Mary A. Gessler's 1944 obit. if you want/need. I cannot add it to Mary's memorial since she is buried in Bascom Cemetery and I did not create her memorial. If you wlll e-mail me at email@example.com I will forward the obit. It may have invaluable family info!

|Peggy Fitzgerald -- Kayla Fitzgerald||Gautney Family|
I believe my mom Peggy has talked to you either on here or on Ancestry before. I have really been working on our family history these past few months. Almost every day when I'm not too busy with my college courses. We have been trying to post pictures on Ancestry. Is there anyone in particular you would like pictures of? We don't have a whole lot--especially old ones-- but I can scan and email them if I have any you would like.

I sent you a edit for Lydia and wanted to be sure you got it. I did find the headstone for Lydia and Irma in the Grohman/Grohmann family plot in Mount Olivet Cemetery here in Saginaw. Lydia and Irma's stone is next to the main family stone, her parents are in front of the main stone, and then some other family members are scattered around on the other side of the main stone.

|James Keffer||Michael Keffer|
Your posting on William T Keefer says you would like help with his father, Michael Keffer.
Michael and his wife, Charlotte Payne/Paine changed the spelling when they moved from Canada to the US in 1887. You can find them in the Canadian census, 1881 in Grey, Huron, Ontario.
Michael was son of Valentine Keffer and Mary Ann Peterman. Grandson of Michael G. Keffer and Anna Maria Welch. Michael G. was a loyalist who was granted land in Canada after the revolution. His father, Johann Jacob Keffer, Sr, was from Zeselburg, Germany, and married Annamaria Nass 1760 in Mittelbrun, Germany. They settled in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, but it split and they lived in part that became Somerset County.
Sailed on the "Sally" 1767 with a cousin, Georg Adam Keffer. Georg Adam's mother had been a sponsor to the baptism of Johan Jacob.
death date from "Reminiscences" by G F Wittich, a son in law

|Lynn J. Gauthier||Walter Bushey|
Dear Wendy & John
Thank you for your SAC re: Walter Bushey & his gravestone.
I am reluctant to put a note that someone was not able to find his gravestone. It is possible that someone may come along in the future & find it. I have had that happen when I have found gravestones that were previously noted to not being found by other volunteers. It may be a part of someone else's lot, could be hidden by shrubs, or a flat grass marker (hidden by overgrown sod), etc
I would suggest that you contact the Highgate Center town office - their cemetery commission http://www.highgatevt.org/index.asp?SEC=A0DF9929-3EB2-4318-9932-37820701C30B&Type=B_DIR-their
they may be able to give you some advice as to where he may be buried and there may be a map available of the cemetery. I would also suggest that you keep your photo request open.

|Leslie Dorschell||daughter of Mary nee Dorschell and Norbert Leyes|
Hello Wendy and John,
This is re Find A Grave Memorial# 140892119 for Mary T. Sheppard nee Dorschell and previously Leyes.
She would have been my gg aunt. Just writing to let you know that Mary nee Dorschell and Norbert Leyes had two daughters instead of one as mentioned on both this page as well as the page for Norbert Leyes. She was christened Velma Rita Leyes. She later officially changed her name to Rita Velma as she went by "Rita".
Rita was born July 17, 1904 in Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario. On March 23, 1946, she married Roderick Allen Lincoln -- a marriage that didn't last. Rita passed away on June 30, 1996 in Cambridge (previously Galt), Ontario. She is buried with her mother and is the last name on the tombstone. It's hard to read but says "Rita Lincoln". Rita did not have any children.
I knew her so if you have any questions, please let me know at:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Do you know where Martha, the wife of Louis Carl Kleino, is buried? He died in 1939, and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery. She died in 1952, after having outlived her 2nd husband Fred Schurig by a month. Fred is buried with his first wife in Clinton Grove Cemetery.

You wanted to know where he is buried: He is my G-G Grandfather and a lady named Suzanne just took a picture of his gravestone for me in Milbank, SD at the Saint Lawrence Cemetery: see 118205455; looks like he was born 2-16-1851 and died 12-24-42; (wife was Mary S Voight Hass who died 3/27/1911).
There is also a Hattie K Haas buried in Milbank SD that may be his daughter ?? or 2nd wife... who died in 1914 at 30 years old...
There is also a photo now of my G-Grandmother, Hattie (Schaffer) Hass' grave in the same family plot in Milbank SD - she was stuck by lightning and killed in Sanborn ND and her body was taken to Milbank SD to be buried by her infant son John Haas Jr. (see photo of his grave also)...all taken by Suzanne.
Ugh ... Gets confusing...
Thank You! Vickie Jackson/Warroad MN
