Thanks for the correction. I have taken the liberty of uploading the death certificate. You may want to move it to BELOW the stone. If you don't think it is appropriate, let me know, and I can delete it.
I do think you should call attention to the discrepancy between the date on the stone and the date on the death certificate. I don't really know how to explain it, however.
PS By coincidence today, I just obtained the photos of the stone of Joel's son Benjamin and his wife in the Newton Cemetery.

AT http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=106038627 you state that Hepzibah Burpee was probably married to John Thurston. The Rowley VRs (Vol 1, p. 528) state that she was the wife of Jeremiah Thurston.
By the way, your site was helpful for information on John Thurston and Lydia.

|Donna Ward ||Tombstone for baby daughter of Annette Farwell Jones|
Hi a baby girl died with her mother, Annette Farwell Jones in childbirth on June 1, 1887 -- I think you were the one that let me know the baby was female. My computer was hacked about 2 weeks ago and I lost a lot of my emails. Do you know if a baby is buried beside this mother. Also there is a good chance that another baby or young child died that was the child of Joseph Comstock Jones & Annette Farwell Jones. It is know that Joseph remarried to Alice Van Hoosen Jones after the death of Annette, she feared losing their child because Joseph had already lost 1 wife and 2 children. I have no record of when the other child died or where. Thanks for any help you can give me. Donna Ward - cousin of Joseph Comstock Jones

Please look at memorial number 166577786 and see if you think this is the best way to link Ethel May Field Bowker's parents. Perhaps you could put a reference to the actual burial site on your cenotaph posting.

Thank you so much for getting the photos for me. I visited this cemetery last year, but it is quite big, and I had no idea where to begin to look for her. There may be more relatives that I will be looking for in the near future.

Bill, My name is John Sloan. I am researching the BURGESS surname as part of my extended family. In the bio section for Ruth my research indicates the she was the daughter of Asel/Asahel Burgess and Alice/Alace Hopkins. I am still researching her parents and will submit edits if/when I find any additional information. Regards, John

|Donna Ward ||Annette Farwell|
Hi thank you so much for the beautiful picture of Annette's tombstone. Did you know that she had a son that lived, became a minister and married, but sadly had no children. Here is what I have on Annette.
Tragedy befell the Jones family. Nettie d. June 1, 1887 in childbirth with her unnamed 2nd child in East Orange, Essex Co., New Jersey, age 46 yrs., 1 mo., 1 day. Joseph & Annette had resided in New Jersey for 13 months when she did. Buried Laurel Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. They were together about 15 years.
At the time of Nettie’s death, Joseph was working at Harper Brothers. On her deathbed, Nettie asked Joseph to take Alice Van Hoosen as his wife.
+94. Edward Horton Jones (4), b. Feb. 20, 1877 in Pontiac, Michigan.
95. Baby Jones (4), b. June 1, 1887 in East Orange, Essex Co., New Jersey. Died June 1, 1887 at birth along with his/her mother.
My information came directly from Sarah VanHoosen Jones daughter of Joseph's 2nd marriage to Alice Van Hoosen. Edward Horton Jones d, in Texas married but did not have any children. Sarah did not know the sex of the baby born to Joseph & Annette who went by Nettie. Again my thanks. Donna

|Donna Ward ||Annette Jones Laurel Hill Cemetery|
Hi I have put in a request for a picture of the tombstone of the above. I know she is buried near her parents, Simeon Farwell & Mary Ann Downe Farrell. I cannot find a record of what happened to the baby (unnamed?) that died with her in childbirth. Need to know if this child is buried in the cemetery also. I am tracing the Jones family into which Annette married. Her husband's name was Joseph Comstock Jones. Best wishes, Donna
