RE: Stanley L Benshoff
I believe it is his wife

I checked my records, James and Emma had 3 children who lived to be adults. I am checking to see if it might be a grandchild? Or find out if they had another infant. There is not indication of a time frame in years for the entry at all? UGh, probably not, that would help me too....But thanks for finding it and sharing. I will keep looking to see if I can dig up who it is. Our Shewell Family reunion is this weekend a couple old timers still around :).

James and Emma's lst child was born in NE 1861, then when his father died he moved back to Portage Co. His 2nd child born in 1866, so there are enough years to have a missing birth not recorded in my records yet. :) Thanks for the find !

RE: Shewell in Homeland
OH MY I hope you solved my mystery of 40 years. I have looked for his burial. Who is buried next to him? The mem for Lydia Baldwin Shewell is his lst wife, and HER TOMBSTONE SAYS.. WIFE OF WM, do you think the records are wrong saying WM is buried there? Are you able to scan the record you are working from so I can see the book? Anyway, Revern Wm shewell was the son of Rev Henry Shewell lst Methodist Circuit Rider in Portage Co. Henry is buried in the old section across st. But I have NEVER FOUND WM's burial!!! However he lived 10 yrs after Lydia and he supposedly married 2 more Xs. Lydia's grave site is in row 16, that is all I had for records 30 years ago before gps and recds. Does your Wm look like a row 16, cause I think there are 2 other graves there unmarked but one for sure. The women he married after Lydia, were widows, so probably buried with their spouses. OMG you might have solve my long time mystery!!! i am getting out my cd PCGS to look at map for location of sec A

Hi could you tell me who is buried next to this child? I don't have a cemetery map to find the plot. Or send me a snap shot of the location of the plot on the map, so I can go and find it?

I could try to identify who this baby is. I am a Shewell descendant and am tracing all descendants of Rev Henry Shewell. Thanks

The fuzzy Benshoffs were from a fogged-up lens, I think. I will re-take those, too.

Janice Lucille Stokey
I see that you added a memorial for Janice Lucille Stokey (136547159) and attached a copy of the death certificate. I was just wondering if you are related to the family somehow? Janice would have been my husband's aunt.

Photo request for Nadie Morris
I was at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca, New York today and tried to fulfill your photo request for the grave marker of Nadie Morris. I did not have time to search the entire cemetery, but did come across some Morris family members not yet listed which may or may not be of interest to you. I have added these members on Find A Grave:
Laverna K. Morris - 1915-1971
Benn G. Morris - 1900-1969
Charlie L. Morris - 1868-1950
Emma F. Morris - 1866-1952
Levi C. Morris - 1887-1940

I live about an hour away from Ithaca, so will look again next time I go up.

Regards, David Woodward

Edinburg Oh Cemetery infant shewell
Sec B Lot 73 Grave 1 can you tell me who is buried next to this grave? I can figure out what infant it is from my genealogy program......I don't have a map with specific locations, I can only see the section B. So I can't figure out who is near this burial. If I could maybe we can id this child. Thanks, Sandy

Along with Emeline and Orsen are their children. They were not listed and I have created memorials for them and they are named on the monument. If you want them would you mind creating photo requests for them. Do add them to your History if they are not known. And let me know if they need corrections and or transfer to you.

I attached a cemetery record on the right side of her grave marker. It has a notation that his grave is on top of hers. He has no marker.

Corrie Hanko
RE: Edith Graham - photo request
The 'plot' description, on the memorial, is from the cemetery plot map (I believe). Which, unfortunately, is not helpful. No one, that I know of, has one. I'm trying to find one. The map I have is from a 1990 tombstone transcriptionist plot map, that she made up herself. I am always searching the cemetery and intend on photographing and entering all the graves on Find-a-Grave. Eventually, we will get all the Grahams. I will keep in mind that you want 'landmarks' for the unmarked graves. In fact, I'll be trying again in the next few days, as long as the rain holds off.

William E Decker Brooklyn Hgts
You have created a duplicate memorial for William. There was a memorial already posted for him. It was William E Decker#41229527 and it was created by a Linda C. in January of 2015. I posted my photo of the headstone to that memorial because it was the only one listed. If you contact Linda on her message board she will probably transfer to you.
