Debi Benton Tucker
RE: Picture
Thanks for answering. I was hoping that someone might have a picture of Mary Ann Simpson that married Jesse Morris Benton. I wasn't sure of any Simpsons that might have had some pictures handed down. I know several family members lived in or near Monroe at one time but not sure how to find out or to contact. Thanks for your time.

Gertrude Porter Hunnicutt
Hi - I stopped by Pleasant Plains Baptist Church cemetery in Matthews, NC in search of your photo request and could not locate a marker for her. I did upload a "family memorial" with the same spelling and a few other photos for other Honeycutt/Hunnicutt memorials that I did see. There are quite a few unmarked graves there - it's quite small and is probably maintained by someone from the church.

I will try again and focus my attention around the Porter graves. Perhaps I will find her there. I noticed that other Porters are married to Shannon and Hartis, and I DID notice those names there.

Carolina Park
Alvin,
Noticed your request for John and Bainer Simpson at Carolina Park. With a Grave as old as his he would have been buried in the section to the left of the main entrance or the fountain section.
The oldest part of the cemetery is the Masonic which is the section immediately to the left. Behind that is the Cherry Section. I have photographed both of those sections and may have their photo in my other computer. I'll check and see. Have so many it may take a couple of months. (I'm trying to complete the Mausoleum today.)The next oldest section is the Fountain.
The cemetery was started in 1943. The founder is buried in the Masonic monument. A burial of 1946 would have to be in one of these first sections.

William Mumford Simpson
Hello Alvin,
Is this the Mumford Simpson who lived on Meadow Street in Concord? I remember his and his daughter. They were all close friends to my father's family who grew up on Meadow street. I never go by there without thinking about them. Didn't know them well but my father did.

Nancy Nix
Thanks for the additional info for Nancy. We worked together for a short time and I remember her anxiously awaiting her husband's return from a cruise. He was in the Navy. Thankfully he had returned before her illness and death. I entered her in findagrave when I found her obituary in my scrapbook.

Annie Triplett Fowler Bumgarner
Will you double check your information about burial site for Annie Belle Triplett Fowler Bumgarner, daughter of Sidney and Martha Jane Walker Triplett and married to Filmore Bumgarner. I believe her to be buried at the Walker Family Cemetery off Hwy 268 near Sharon Walker Church in western Wilkes County, NC. This is where her parents and two brothers are also buried. Her mother was sister to my grandfather George Hayes Walker.

Pam Horne
Providence Lutheran Cemetery
Hello Alvin,

I have a request. You created memorial pages for Allison Overcash and Mary A Overcash in Providence Lutheran Cemetery in Rowan County, NC.

In 1953 this church was sold and became Old Providence Presbyterian Church. The cemetery's name changed also. I created a page for Old Providence Presbyterian Church, and I will appreciate it if you will delete Allison and Mary Overcash from the Lutheran church page and add them to the Presbyterian church page.

And if you request a photo, I'll add the photos to these memorial pages for you.

Thanks so much for your help.
