Jonathan Hazel Green aka J H Butt
Are you related to Abner Hazel Green? His father Jonathan Hazel is a mystery man as is my gr gr grandfather Bazil Butt. It is said that the two are half-brothers. I know neither of the parents of Jonathan nor Bazil. Jonathan went by both Green and Butt. What can you tell me about these guys?

Georgeann Clark Devoe
Mt. Hope Cemetery - You were kind enough to add a photo of her and I'm wondering if you have any info about her first husband, Richard Sayles or her eldest daughter, Violet Sayles (who lived with her father in Canada). I'm helping a friend with her dad's family history and his mother is Georgeann's other daughter, Lillian Grace Clark. Thanks for any light you might be able to shine on this. Cindy

RE: Yetta Anixter
Glad that I could help. There are several other members of the Anixter family in that plot, I posted photos for those as well.

Thank you so much for the time you spent traveling to the cemetery and photographing a couple of shots of Mary's gravestone. I truly appreciate your service to those of us that live too far away to do this for ourselves. May you be blessed.
Sincerely Barbara Taylor

Re: Ellsworth Sanders
Hi Sally,

Glad you appreciated the photo, this is one of the nice things about Find-A-Grave that one can unknowingly (or now knowingly) help someone connect with their loved one. :)

Thank you ever so much, I had contacted the cemetery and they sent me the same photo except in pdf format...could not attach to my ancestry file. Yours was perfect. Thank you again.

Have you found the parents of Boyd, Flavilla Sloan Bellevue Cemetery? I agree that it looks like a daughter of Joesphus B. Sloan my 3rd great grandfather. Thanks Dave Sloan

Thanks for getting the photo of Francis and Esther Billick's grave marker - I really appreciate it.

Thank you very much for the 2 Shaws. Frances and Robert's marker looks like the one I photographed the other day-slowly sinking. I had to get water and wash it so it could be read. Thanks your effort is very much appreciated~rp

Re: Addie Morgan
Hi Sally,

Thank you for taking the photo I requested. However, there wasn't any headstone/marker/memorial. I only saw a pile of dirt. Was there a memorial?

RE: William Mattson
Yes, this is most definitely Mary Knorr Mattson. How frustrating you cannot request a photo since someone posted a generic photo of the Forest Lawn sign! Do you know how we can rectify this?

Yes, I had seen this and thought it probably was my Mary Dorthea on the 1940 census, but wanted to validate with a death excited that you have it!

RE: William Mattson

Thanks for responding! I am going to continue to do more research and probably order his military records to confirm if he is my 2nd great uncle. If I find out that he is my relative, do I have your permission to use the photos you have on Find A Grave on my blog and personal papers? I will of course let you know if I find out more about he ancestry if you are interested?

Thank you,

William Mattson

It looks like you were related to William Mattson through marriage? am trying to determine if William Mattson's mother was Mary Dorthea Knorr from Buffalo New York? The dates and names all match, but I haven't been able to confirm. Do you happen to know?

Thanks so much,

Sally, thank you so much for finding and phographing my grandparents' gravesite. I've been working in and sharing information with cousins; it helps bring the family together. I have a cousin in Oregon who was close to our grandfather and will love to see this.

RE: Sevilla C. Sanders
You're very welcome; glad I could help. Thanks also to the office staff who correlated the misspelling and found that the actual grave site was 'Individual A, Lot 947' rather than 'Section A' as originally noted.
