RE: Duplicate Memorials
Barbara I did delete my memorial. They were obviously duplicates but listed in two separate cemeteries. I suspect the cemeteries are duplicates and probably added mine to this one because I had a photo request here. In that case I usually take a few extra photos and check for duplicates before adding.

John Peck
Hello, I am researching my brother in laws line of Pecks. I am trying to figure out his great great grandfather's parents. His great great grandfather was John Peck b. 1819 and died 1885. According to one of his son's death certificates, it has John being born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. I wondered if you had any information that might help me, or an agency where I might check on things. Thank you, Jen Bottorf

RE: Duplicate Memorials

Thanks for letting me know. Upon closer inspection of the picture I took of the gravestone on the memorial I created, the stone was not even for Robert M. Harris at all. It was for his wife, Jerusha Elizabeth Harris! No wonder the dates for the two memorials for Robert M. Harris were different. Since there's already a memorial for Jerusha as well, I will delete the memorial I made (Find A Grave Memorial# 100306230).

Thanks so much for letting me know!

Best Regards,

RE: Effie Siler # 83322256
Hi Barbara, First let me thank you for your work with amazing Find A Grave. I'm always grateful for those who help us find our ancestors.

Effie's brother, Benjamin Miller Siler married my 1st cousin 2X removed, Margaret Anne aka Georgia Turner. Benjamin was killed in a mining accident in 1922 and left Margaret with 6 children! Most of those children were then taken in to Benjamin's siblings' homes and raised by them. They are a pretty special family.

Thank you again for all you do in Find A Grave.

Spelling of name
I am related to Effie May Siler. Her name is misspelled on her memorial page. It is not Silar. It is Siler.

Hi Barbara,
Hi, I hope that your & your family will have a
great day. It has turned cool here after 70 degree weather, and is raining.
I am glad I can help you and hope to go to the Library in Concord one day this week and check
if they have the book on the Peck family that George did. I have left 3 messages for the Historian to call but she has not. Si if one day is pretty & will load my wheel chair & go. It will get me out on the house. Lester mows the yards for 9 widows here in our neighborhood and
they called yesterday wanting their bushes trimmed & leaves blown out of their flower beds.
I am glad I could help, It helps me get my mind off my pain.
Have a great day,

Hi Barbara,
I mailed a package to you this morning. It has everything I have on the Pecks.
I have not been able to get to the Concord Library to see if they have the Peck Book.
I have apiece of medal in my foot and going to
have surgery after the 19th. I will be on antibiotic until then then. Cannot put any weight on it. Good thing I have my wheel chair.
I have left 2 voice mails for Patricia in the history room, but no reply yet.
Have a great weekend,

Peck Book
Hi Barbara,
Carl Moose has been deceased for a while & George just died several months ago. I have some of the info George had and will have to pull it out to see if I have any info for you. Ad for a book I have no idea. He turned some things over to Mike Moose who lives in Ohio and I will see if he has any knowledge of the Peck Book. I will be glad to send you anything I can find on the Peck Family. It may take me awhile I am working on 5
different family trees, so I have a lot to go through. Hope I can help.
Have a great week,

Learh Rebecca Barringer Bowers
Learh Rebecca Barringer Bowers

Thank you to all of the folks who contribute to Find a Grave.

My great grandfather was John Louis Barringer, a brother to Learh Rebecca Barringer Bowers.

I need proof for the DAR of John Louis Barringer's birth in Missouri 1859 or 1860 to Paul Monroe Barringer and his wife, Katy Caroline Peck in McDonald County. I need a baptismal certificate, a copy of the family bible, a sibling's obituary naming John L. or some other record of the time.

There is proof that Mrs. Bowers' parents are Paul Monroe Barringer and Katy Caroline Peck. I need some other documentation that Mrs. Bowers is a sister to John Louis Barringer. Her obit on Find-a-Grave says she left 3 brothers--did the original document give their names? (they are John L, George Payton and Columbus Thornton.)

Can you help me find a document with Mrs. Bowers and John Louis Barringer's names together? Any document naming John L. Barringer as a child of Paul Monroe Barringer and Katy Caroline Peck or any document naming John L as a brother to any of the other children would be most appreciated.

Thank you again, it would mean so much to me to "prove" that Paul Monroe Barringer is John Louis Barringer's father.

Have a lovely day!!

William F. Teel
Barbara, you may have the wrong person. William's middle initial is an F. not E. and the last name is Teel not Teal. I have had a lot of people send information on different memorial's and the date of birth could be wrong. I am trying to find an obituary on him but have not as of yet. If you have any information to ad let me know. Have a good day Wonderer

Sarah J. Robinson
Hi Barbara. This Sarah's parents were Jacob Andrew Wilson (abt 1803 KY) and Sarah Margaret Hancock (abt 1804 KY). I first located Jacob in Newton Co MO 1840. Newton Co MO was where Sarah and her husband William were married in 1848. In the 1880 Census, still in Newton Co MO, Sarah's parents were listed as having been born in NC and KY, however Sarah's DC (filled out by her son James) has both her parents having been born in VA. It's entirely possible that your Jacob Wilson is my Sarah's father. Hope this helps. Are you related?
