Re: Elizabeth Honnaker
Hi Deb,

Thanks for your note. I have changed Eliza's maiden name to correspond with your wishes. While I did add some information to her memorial, I don't believe that I specifically removed anything that you had already written. Granted, I did add a little bit of formatting (i.e. bold face type "Additional Information:") to your stuff, but I think that was the only real change. If I am mistaken, however, please know that it was not my intent to erase your work.

My main contribution to the page was the addition of the information pertaining to her guardianship and marriage to Isaac Honnaker. We research archivists tend to let the records speak for themselves, and in this particular case, the records clearly state that her name was Bryan and not Bryant. If you need proof, I have attached copies of the originals to her page. That being said, I can understand why you feel it's important to stick with the 'Bryant' spelling, so I will do just that. (Although, don't you find it interesting that Isaac's surname is spelled differently, yet Eliza's surname is spelled the same way—with the 'Bryan' spelling—in both of these primary sources? It does certainly make one wonder...)

Regardless, I appreciate your holding me to the Find-a-Grave standard of doing things. As you can tell, I'm a relatively new member of the Find-a-Grave community, so I'm still learning how things work around here.

Re: Honnaker Family

I apologize for the delay in my response! If your offer to transfer the rest of the Honnakers my way still stands, I will gladly take you up on it.

Lt. John Van Swearingen

I am a 4 great-grandson of "Van" Swearingen, and have researched the family for 40 years and spent several hundreds of dollars purchasing genealogical books on the family written in the 1800's, his will, his military pension, censuses, et al., and every thing lists his first name as "Van" and he had a brother named "John." These othere people have possibly confused him with his dad.

Redmon declines
Hi Deb, I received the notification of declines on the last name. I don't quite understand why it conflicts with data? My husband side of family are Redmon's spelled exactly as your name, and native and buried in the cemetery also. The stones even are marked Redmon with no a in the surname. Then in the note section you inquired about making memorials, is there someone in Woodford County/Fayette County that I can research for you so you can find their final disposition. Be glad to help.

RE: Juanita Skelton and Mona Sudduth

I have done further research in regards to this matter and sent you the results via e-mail.
I have adjusted the memorial accordingly.

Thank you,

RE: George Butler Redman Obituary
Hi Deb,
I am so glad this is helpful to you. If there is anything I can do for you on this end and help with verification I would be very happy to. I can get copies of the burial print outs if you need them. They tell who is buried and where and who owns the plot.

Infant Redmon Daughter
Hey I was wondering were you got your info on Infant Daughter Redmon #108336033, She was the daughter of Charles Edgar and Ruby Redmon. I cant find any info on her. I do know through Oral history that she lost lots of babies. My grandmother (her daughter) said that there was at least 11 of them counting the babies. any info would be so helpful.

James L. Gibbs Sr.
Deb, Thanks for the work on all these ancestors' graves.

I would offer one correction on James Lawrence Gibbs b. 1786, Scott Co., Ky. His mother was Julius Gibbs' 2nd wife Catherine Gale. I have full information if you'd like.

Hey Girl
Pleasant Union, Taylorsville, Spencer County Ky.
Hello Deb.
I've spoken with the OLD folks at home, I've been advise Pleasant Union is located in Little Mount, Spencer County Ky. I try to get a number for the church, no listing. Some say they are small and have no phone, others aren't sure if services are held there anymore. The only think they are sure of is the location. I pulled the death certificates of the two Redmon children buried there.
Stella's has Pleasant Union.
Vinson's has Pleasant Union Baptist Church at Little Mount. Vinson's death certificate as E M Reasor, Register, name where the funeral home or funeral director would sign. There was no undertaker. I know this, my husband is a funeral director, who thank God has retired. (two years)
By the way, I'm a old folk (68) the others who have lived in Spencer County all of their lives know the county.
I married and moved away in 1962. I'm sure their more knowledgeable then I.
You've worked very hard. I'm so grateful to all who've found their passion for genealogy.
I added you to my friends list.

I was wondering if you could transfer ownership of this memorial. I made a memorial and then found yours. I would like to merge the two. If this is not possible, I can send corrections to add to her memorial. Thanks for your consideration.
