Joseph Mann
Mamie Huber

You requested a photo of Joseph Huber and mentioned you would like to know if his wife Mamie was buried with him. Unfortunately Mamie was buried at St. Vincent dePaul Cemetery No. 3. Her dates are 7/19/1897 - 10/1976. She died prior to October 29, 1976. Her obituaries were in the New Orleans Times-Picayune beginning October 29, 1976.

Clara Elizabeth Cook Fowler
She was buried with her first husband. At the time of death she has the name of her second husband as posted in the obituary. Apparently her family chose to bury her with first husband. According to Find A Grave guidelines the name should appear as on the grave site marker.

I have posted a pic of the above headstones. However the dates are not the same on the stone as you state. If this is not the correct couple, let me know and I will delete it from Find A Grave.

Oops...I deleted the obit you had send to me for Lulu. The obit information was for James Monroe Milburn who has the obit on his memorial.

Ron Chapin
Nettie Bilger's photo
I need some help here.
In 1980 Nettie had a metal marker.
When I walked the cemetery a few years ago to place names into their respective plots I wrote down first names and dates to save time.
Nettie's name is on a stone with people named Catterson. Just her first name.
I also don't know where I got all her other information. Did you give it to me ?
Was she married to a Catterson at some point ?
I have a close up of her stone, first name only.
I do not have a memorial for Nettie Catterson.
Any help appreciated,

I hope I got that fixed for you. Your pages are a little complicated but did give me some additional information on the Milburns I have done so much work on in Morgan County. How did you get the links on the top like that? Was that before the edit buttons? Anyway thanks for your documentation. Do you have the Morgan County History books. Theres lots on your Milburns. Take care!

FAG Corrections
There is a new way to add info to memorials. I enter the info and it is sent to you. If you go to your home page there is an EDIT tab (close to the top middle of the page) and it will have #'s (5) listed on it. This means that you have five memorials that contributors have sent you additional info on a memorial. Click on this tab. Each memorial is listed with the info to be added. You can ACCEPT, DECLINE or IGNORE the correction. Go to the bottom of the page and there is a TAB that says PROCESS SELECTED EDITS and click it. It will automatically correct the info on the ones that you have accepted. This way you do not have to do any of the entering of the info the contributor has sent you on each memorial. Have Fun and have a Great Day. Any Questions?

Madeline Whittaker
Byron Whittaker
Hi Corrie,
I am researching my late father, Richard E. Whittaker's family who came from New York and found his grandfather, Byron Whittaker, in your find a gravesite. I have a question, do you know Byron Whittaker's William H. Whittaker's parents' names? Were they all buried in the same cemetary?

RE: James Madison Closser
Hello Corrie,
Sorry I missed your message till now.
This was a difficult stone to find, uncover and photograph as it is getting so old. In the right light the writing showed up much better. Did you see my note in the comment section of the photo. From what I understand the father and infant died the same year. It looks like James died August 12, 1812, but the number one is spaced so far away. When you look under the Infant it states born and died - and the year is the only visible part of that date which looks to me like 1842. The very bottom line on the right side of the stone is his age in years, months and days and is hard to read. Do you know if the year is correct? I noted that in his memorial on find a Grave it is 1942 and that is why I determined that it must be so.
Let me know if this helps
Are you aware that you can click on the photo to enlarge it and to see any comments under the photo?

RE: Joseph Washburn Ackerman headstone photo
There is a stone marked only "Elsie 1903 - 1934" next to Joseph's. If you know who this is, make a memorial, let me know and I will add the photo
I will go back next week and make sure that is the only one around it.

Ackermans - HIllside Cemetery
Hi Corri,

I was in Hillside Cemetery this afternoon and found the monuments for William and Frederick Ackerman. Right next to them, I noticed several other Ackermans so I have added them to the cemetery with photos:
Clara Bell Ackerman (1886-1891)
John Louis Ackerman (1836-1902)
Mary Mitinger Ackerman (1856-1928)
Mary Louise Ackerman (1878-1953)

I'm guessing they are all members of your family as they were together and had the same type stone. Please let me know if you'd like me to transfer them to you - I'm fairly new at this findagrave thing, but I think I can figure out how to do that!

Kind regards,

RE: Pirie's (Cheyne)
Corri I apologize if I have not gotten back to you to thank you for transferring the Pirie(Cheyne) over to me.
I have not been on the computer that much since the 28th of Dec. I have a husband in the hospital, now, for over 6 weeks. Very ill. So I have set my genealogy aside. Will get back to it soon I hope. I miss it very much but spend about 8 hours a day with my husband.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your kindness in transferring over the Pirie's and all.
