|Denise||RE: Peter Hildreth|
Its all looking great now! Thank you for your help! Now I just have to wait for a couple SACs I sent to fix the link to the correct Ephraim as the father. Boy that was a mess I'm glad someone caught it and questioned it. Denise.

|Denise||RE: Peter Hildreth|
Thank you for the new photo of Priscilla and Ephraim side-by-side. That is awesome and is very helpful.
I think I have "Batton" on all the childrens pages where I say son/daughter of. Looks like there is a typo in the transcribed record and I stupidly copied it. Ughhh (I will fix all of them)
Did you want me to add Peter? I see I have him list on Priscillas page but never found where he was buried.
Added by Denise on Sep 23, 2016 2:57 PM
If you dont mind could you leave it for now. If in the future when you go back would you mind taking one of both together? This way it will show she is beside him and not the other Ephraim. I can put in another request if you like. Denise.

Thank you for putting that other picture. I definitely have her linked to the wrong Ephraim. It got confusing because they both were born in Chelmsford a few years apart and both died in Westford also a few years apart. Seeing the headstone side by side just confirms everything. Thank you so much! Denise.

Thank you! So I do have them backwards. Makes more sense they would be in the same cemetery. Ughhh I now have to switch all his children too. Yes I noticed the spelling of her name and will fix that too. Thank you again. Denise.

Thank you for getting the headstone photo for Priscilla.
I have been going crazy these last few days because I think I have her linked to the wrong Ephraim (1725-1791). I think she should be linked to this Ephraim Hildreth (1719-1797) who is in the same cemetery as her. I didnt want to swap them until I was certain. Do you remember who she is buried beside her?

42616284 You have sent me an edit where you gave the date of death as 1898. The marker states 1889. The findagrave rule (intended to avoid duplicates from people "mowing the rows") is to use the marker date and explain any discrepancies in the bio. So I wanted to verify the date you gave just to make sure there wasn't a typo on your part before I add it to the bio. Let me know. I've made the changes for the other folks.

Forgot one other thing about Henry: this is the transcription of the headstone "Sawyer, Henry, b. 1842, d. 1927, s/w & husband of Carrie Grover" at the Mount Forest Cemetery in Stanstead, Quebec (http://www.interment.net/data/canada/qc/stanstead/mtforest/forest_nz.htm). Carrie's headstone (shared with Henry) reads: Grover, Carrie Lillian, b. 1848, d. 1928, wife of Henry Sawyer.

|Lisa64801||RE: Henry Sawyer, b. 1843|
My Henry Sawyer was born on 11 Sept 1843 in Eaton, Quebec to Charles C Sawyer and Hannah Laberee. He married Carrie Lillian Grover. He died on Dec 28 1927, per his obituary published on Jan 5 1928 as follows: Taken from:
The Star of the East (L'Etoile de LEst, jeudi le 5 janvier 1928. page 1,
col. 3, par.1)
"Sudden Death of Mr. Henry Sawyer
This veteran of the American Civil War died suddenly at his residence on Central Street. Mr. Henry Sawyer died at his residence, Rue Central, last Wednesday on December 28, at the age of 86 years. Though Mr. Sawyer knew himself to be ill for some time, his death was a jolt to his friends and relatives.
Mr. Sawyer arrived at Coaticook fifty years ago from Sawyerville, Quebec. He had married Miss Carrie Grover, of Bethel. Me. 64 years ago. She survives him, as well as his four children: Mrs. L.Rabb, Andover, Mass., Mrs. J. Herrington, Cornwall, Ont., Mrs. R. G. Smith, Coaticook, and a son, M. L. A. Sawyer, of Montreal.
Mr. Sawyer was member of Ashla Lodge, A.F. and A.M. and also of the GrandArmy of the Republic. He served in the American Revolution in 1862-1866 and was cruelly wounded in this war.
The funeral took place at his residence. Rev. W.P. Wornell officiated.The pallbearers were: Misters Richard Hambly, J.H. Cairnie, F.J. Meade, S.A. Meade, A.A. Hall,Wm. Hughes. The burial took place at Mount Forest Cemetery. The Star of the East offers its sympathies to the bereaved family."
The Star of the East, Thursday on January 5 1928. page 1, collumn 3, par.1
There is also a Quebec internment certificate, witnessed by Henry and Carrie's son, Lewis.
So I think we agree on all except the date and circumstances of death of poor Henry!
