I got your requests. No problem. I already added the pics to yours of Eugene Frank. Before I start transferring and/or deleting, could you just send me a list of which sites you want transferred and which you would like deleted, aside for the Frank E. Austin, which I know has to be deleted.

Just want to be sure I don't undo a site unnecessarily.

RE: Keefe Photo Request
Hi Ellen, It was a pleasure to take the photos. I have never been to Victor before and went up with my husband while he was working. I was very impressed with the town and was so excited to find the Keefe family. :-) I don't mind going out in the cold or weather but I did not expect over a foot of snow, well worth the effort though. A trip I will always remember.

Lydia W. Strohm

I saw your photo request for Lydia Strohm's gravestone.

At Section S Lot 65 there is a big "Austin" monument.
On the backside there is an inscription for
"Lydia W. 1881 - 1952"

In her obituary there is mention that she is survived by a son Bertram Austin.

Do you want me to attach photos of the Austin monument to your memorial ?

So glad to have a descendant manage the memorial page. Let me know if there is anything else that you need.
Good luck with your genealogy,

"They are ever so sharp and clear it almost looks like you could touch them. You must have a wonderful camera."

I took them with my iPhone. Nothing special. Perhaps it was the shadows cast by the sun so low in the southern sky up here this time of year. (BTW we have had snow since you posted your request. I had to wait until we had a January thaw.)

You are very welcome, Ellen. But, the one I just uploaded was Bertha
and Fred, on each memorial

Alton Strassburg
For a photo of the entire cross, you might want to contact Dominique Potier,, who has posted many photos to the Rhone American Cemetery, all of the complete crosses. He might have one for Alton that he hasn't posted yet.

I wish I could have gotten the contrast better, but I was only in the area for a short time and was at the mercy of the weather and light.

RE: Thank you so very much !
You're very welcome. And, you are welcome to use the pictures as you wish.

I should mention that I did go to the site of Ulrich Maier's grave too, but there did not appear to be a marker for him. I thought I'd go back when the weather is warmer and the ground softer just to be sure (as markers flush to the ground sometimes end up getting covered over)...and, if there really isn't any, I'll just get a photograph of the location.

RE: Lehr Family Gravesite Photos
Interesting they are not part of the ones I found but it occurred to me to look up their married names. However there is no memorial for Betty Lehr Mamroe, maybe she's on the same stone as Marvin ?
I'll get back there if the weather holds up.

You're very welcome and of course you can use them any way you please. I don't get hung up on "owning" the picture, its your picture.
Bye the way there are 16 more Lehr's at Oakwood. Do you have any desire for their stones ?

Buckner Family
Hi Ellen,

Just found you on "Find a Grave". Ray Buckner & Mary Koval are my great grandparents. I see you have a lot of information on the Buckners. Would really like to get in touch you...

Thanks, Cheryl

RE: Mabel Buckner
Hi, again, Ellen,

You are very welcome for the photos. And I goofed - it was Mabel's husband's marker photo that didn't come out, not Inez'.

Of course you can use the photos! I would appreciate attribution - just as Kathy.

RE: Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson
Hi, Ellen,

Carl Buckner was my school bus driver for many years. He was a really nice person, and had a very good way with the kids. There's still one woman driving for Wilson who started when Carl was there - I expect they might have a lot to share about changes over the years.

I will not be able to get to Greenwood Cemetery for several months. Because you have the kids' dates, I would suggest adding memorials for them in Greenwood and requesting photos. There are a couple people in the area who are trying hard to photograph every gravestone in Niagara County. If they don't already have photos that they just haven't had time to get posted yet, they might be able to get there before I can.

If not, I'll certainly look for them when I can get there. I do visit a lot, because, including my brother, I have six generations buried there.

Good luck! And take care.

Da nada, Ellen. I actually found myself putting one or two leaves on some of the stones - I, too, like the fall colors.

Inez M Buckner Allis
Hi, Ellen,

Just wanted to let you know that I had posted a marker photo for Inez. I took a photo of her husband's marker as well, but something went wrong with the camera and it was just lines. I won't be able to get back to this cemetery for a while.

Take care.
