Virginia Warren
Virginia is one of our family members of our Wolf(e)/Simmons Family. Her memorial #84873798 at Helphrey Cemetery, Taneyville, MO. I noticed that you have her as DOD 1/31/2010, it should be 1/31/2012. Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Thanks Maria

I don't have a death certificate for James P. I suppose he died in Missouri. I looked there and couldn't find one.

RE: James Paskel Haggard
I don't have a death certificate either. I do have Jackson Haggard and Rachell Roberts as the parents of James P. Haggard, born about 1841. They had a son, William Harvey Haggard who married a Lourene Scott and had 12 children, he is my direct descendent and did not have a second marriage. They started having children in 1849 and James P. was not their son. So, we have a mystery.

Hi Cathy,
I have information that disagrees with his findagrave memorial. I have his parents as Jackson Haggard and Rachel Roberts. Could we correspond about this? I've been wrong before, wouldn't be the first time...thanks, Diane Heap

I am not sure, I know when I read the cemetery, I also came home and went through the cemetery book to double check what they had compared to what I found.. They have 2 different dates on their birth. maybe we need to get a photo request. I did take some when there, but just a few, of the people that I knew... Sorry, hon,

RE: Panter Valley Cemetery
Hi Cathy,
contact Find A Grave and ask them if they can transfer her memorials due to her passing, so that they can be connected and added to. I worked with CountedX (I think is her namefor Find A Grave)
she is on my friends list. just write to her or any of the others and tell them you are wanting to correct them and add them, that you will not transfer any of them and do not want to keep any of her memorials. I also that I was trying to update the cemetery, by adding all names, connecting and posting photos of their stones. I wish I could help you Cathy do this cemetery, my husband is sick right now, so unable to do anymore cemeteries for awhile... I will help what I can though. I know that there are so many old stones that will have to be foil to take the photos... Keep me in touch..
take care,
Judy

Great, nice to meet you, my Crigers came from Wythe Co, Va to Missouri. There is so many different ways that Krieger/Creger/Creager/Cregar/Crigger/Criger was spelled sometimes their hard to sort out.

Hello Cathy,
I find the Krieger spelling they came over with from Germany and changed many times over after that, Typo error or by sound to what they think it spelled as. You may email me personnal at Lee@neo.rr.com

Cathy, if you want to start on that cemetery that is fine with me. we will have to take it one section at a time. I did transfer some that I had made in Fordland to you, if you find more that I had made and you want just holler at me, haha. I am done with those corrections, haha,
Please check James Franklin Mitchell, hope I have it right. Thank you so much, and have contacted Find A Grave and asked if they would hold off sending them back to June, since you have helped me connect them.. :)

RE: Valentine Criger
Gratiot Street Prison for CSA prisoners, Confederate sympatizers, and women was on the corner of 8th and Gratiot streets in St. Louis, MO. The family believes Val Criger was either hung or shot by Union sympathizers, possibly Union soldiers. I am not so sure about that. I have his estate sale after his death dated Jan. 1867. He most likely died within 90 days of this document - ca. Sept.-Oct. 1866. He is supposed to be buried in the Old Dallas Cemetery in Webster county, MO outside Fordland next to his daughter, Susan Lane.

Pendergrass I have seen he was killed at Persian or Persin Creek during Civil War. I have never seen these places in Civil War history. I have also seen he was killed in a mishap with a horse, which is probably correct.

Hopefully someday I will find out?

Thank you for the reply.

Hi Cathy,
Val Criger is my ggg-grandfather. We know he was in Gratiot prison for being a southern sympathizer. You state William Lane (Susan's husband) brought Valentine Criger's body back home. Do you know from where?
