RE: McMillans in woodlawn
Looking good. Only suggestion is to connect Emily Amanda 82485550 to her husband Peter A. 82485826.
Hopefully this will connect all parties correctly.

RE: Mcmillan's in Woodlawn
Hi Charles:
Thanks for the reply. I've been tracking my Harris family of Canandaigua. Emily Harris married Peter A. McMillan. She was first cousin to my granduncle George Walker who kept in touch with the family and did lots of genealogy work. It appears that you have connected Peter B. to Emily instead of Peter A.

Also find that in some of the obits from Canadaigua etc. the two Peter's often confused. In obit. of Emily's mother he is listed as Emil A. etc.

If willing I would accept transfer or a correction. Since your name is McMillan you may want to keep the memorials. Let me know if you want any further confirmations etc.

Birth: 30 May 1871 - Ontario County (Ontario), USA
Marriage: 1897 - Canandaigua, Ontario, New York, United States
Death: 1959 - Canandaigua, Ontario, New York
Parents: Horton McMillan, Annie Curran
Spouse: Emily Amanda Harris

Mcmillan's in Woodlawn
Hi Charles:
Been working my extended Harris family of Canandaigua. There appears to be some confusion on the Peter A. McMillan and Peter B. McMillan entries. If willing could you transfer these people to me and I'll document the relationships.

Its possible we're related, but there are hundreds of McMillan's I think spelled in as many different ways! Will be in contact.

RE: napoleon Bagby
there is no other picture. I was just telling you I found his death date on Ancestry on a record of tombstones for Soldiers, etc. If you don't want the death date, it's ok with me.

I have sent the McMillan's to you - hope this helps fill your tree. :)
The McMillan's are not related to me.

The Military sent a stone for this man and it listed his death as 22 Nov 1908.

RE: Catherine Smith Spencer
Go to Dewitt family tree by LorindaFarkas I have added two older generations that I came across in my cemetery searches. Interesting, however it would be best to find documented proof. Happy Hunting.

RE: Catherine Smith Spencer
I've been researching Poplar Grove Cemetery to find unmarked graves. It's all been very interesting and I'm getting to know the occupants, their families, and the times they lived in. I hope they all can be claimed and remembered by descendants. Happy journey in your research!

Don Simons
Lavinia McMillan dau of Arch
Hello Cousin Charles, I'm contacting you regarding the McMillans. My Gggrandmother is Lavinia McMillan dau of Archibald and neice of Annanias. She married Anson Simons in Westminster Ont.,1827 (by Springer). Archibald McMillan married Mercy Hagerman dau of Peter Hagerman of Dutch descent. They settled in Byron Twp Ontario Canada. circa 1797. Anson and bro in law Hugh McMillan bought land at what is now Lexington MI in 1840. I'm 74 in good health and
have been doing Simons and related research since 1990. Early on I visited the grave of Annanias and Mary in the 1990's for photos, etc. I live in Grand Blanc MI and have been often to Ont.,Canada doing research. The McMillans were among the earliest of the London area...much accomplished people. Anson Simons, son of Ebenezer was a grandson ,of Rev War Capt John Simons of Enfield CT. the founder of Andover & Weston Vt. I've made many trips gravestone is yet known for the Capt. The Simons are Puritans first in Salem MA. My gt aunt Mercy Helen Simons dau of Lavinia wrote some on the death of Annanias and I've read any/all of the other sources which I could find to date. I've also read the recent article on Annanias in the "Ancestors". Which I believe based on your Missouri residence you may have provided the bulk of. We have been members of the New England Genealogical Society for decades.
I've not found anything to show the connection to Ireland. Alpha Simons ships Capt. at Chicago named his ship the "Orkney Lass"...suggesting that he considered his ancestry to be from Scotland.
A cherished possession is a small hand made woolen purse which was passed down through the Simons from which contains a note that it was brought from Scotland by the Simons Scottish ancestors (Lavinia). Finally, my Simons moved to Bay City in 1883 and my grandparents are buried near the McMillans stones. My Gt Uncle Leonard"McMillan"Simons dd,1896, is also buried there. We should get in touch.
Kind Regards,
Don Simons

If this keeps up will float a boat in our yard and we are not even in a flood area. So where is Noah's Ark when you need it? I had contact with the person that claimed and she is hoping to take the photos today. No promises as we had a heck of a thunderstorm last night. Also she has to get off work in time. But at least she works close to where Springfield National is at.

RE: Lloyd White Veterans
Sorry it ran out, my photo volunteer friend claimed it. I had to take my grandson to KC for some testing at Children's Mercy Hospital and did not get it done in time. Then rain and more rain here in Springfield so every time I had the chance it was raining and thunderstorms. My photo vol. will get it done. I will send an e mail and let them know you waited a long time.
