I added the info. to her memorial, with your Find A Grave member information to give you credit. Plus it lets me know where the information came from as my memory is getting worse with age.

You're welcome for the photo, but I wanted to let you know, I also got the photo on either side of her, thinking they might be family, they are William Howard Wyrick & Howard A Wyrick. Maude is in between these two.

RE: Simon and Elizabeth Hake
All the Hakes I found were on the left side of the church as you are facing the front of the it.They are on the side of the church across from the trailer
It was nice to see the photo of your great, great grandfather. If you'd like me to trasfer the memorial to you, I'd be happy to do so.
Enjoy the day. virginia

RE: Church confusion
Yes, I became aware of the two churches being one in the same after I filled 10 requests for the Hakes plus some others Hakes I came across. This was after I put in a number of memorials in the Lebanon Luthern cemetery someone had created. After I talked to the head of the cemetery board, I discovered the truth.I checked the memorials I put in and I think there are only 5 duplicates. I did send an Email to Find A Grave. the day before yesterday asking for a merge of the two and gave them an address and phone #. It might speed things along if you also Email them cause I'm fairly new to computers and Emailing people. I'm planning on deleting my duplicates after the merge. St. Paul's Lebanon Luthern church is the current name. I'm trying to get some church history and transcripts but they had a fire years ago and lost them. They now have to send them away. A man named Terry told me of a small cemetery up on Church road next to the church that they (ST Pauls)have taken over. I havent checked it out yet.virginia

RE: Zion U M Cemetery confusion
THANKS FOR SENDING AN E-MAIL TO FIND A GRAVE. THAT WAS GOING TO BE MY NEXT MOVE CAUSE I HEARD NOTHING FROM THE CONTRIBUTER. I'M SURE THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE WHO PUT THE INFO IN THE WRONG CEMETERY. I KNOW OF ONE AND WILL SEND A NOTE. AS FOR THE OTHERS, I DON'T KNOW. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, I JUST PUT UP PHOTOS FOR THE FISHELS THEY WERE THE NEXT ONES ON MY LIST AND ODDLY ENOUGH IN THE ROW I MENTIONED IN MY DIRECTIONS TO YOUR GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS! IF YOU TAKE A BETTER PHOTO , PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPLACE IT. THANKS AGAIN, VIRGINIA

RE: Heiss
YOURE WELCOME FOR THE PHOTO OF YOUR GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS. I'M NOT SURPRISED YOU HAD A HARD TIME FINDING THEM. YOU MAY HAVE BEEN LOOKING IN THE WRONG CEMETERY. THE REASON I SAY THAT IS THAT I WENT TO UPLOAD PHOTOS ( I ALWAYS TAKE MORE THAN ONE). I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE THE PHOTO OF THE CEMETERY I WAS JUST IN DID NOT MATCH THE ONE I SAW. THE PHOTO WAS THE ONE FOR ZION UNITED METHODIST IN FREYSVILLE, NOT THE ONE LOCATED AT 1155 FELTON RD, RED LION WHICH IS WHERE I FOUND YOUR GREAT,GREAT GRANDPARENTS . IF YOU TURN INTO THE CEMETERY OFF FELTON RD THE GRAVE IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE, 6TH ROW, 7TH GRAVE IN . THEY ARE BETWEEN SMITH AND MOOK (BOTH TALL}.ALSO THE BEGINNING OF THE ROW IS A GRAVESTONE FOR FISCHEL {NOT SURE OF SPELLING} THEY ARE FAIRLY CLOSE TO THE FRONT OF FELTON RD. GOOD LUCK! I LEFT A NOTE FOR THE PHOTO CONTRIBUTER BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME ENTRIES FOR THE FREYSVILLE CEMETERY IN FELTON RD. SO FAR, NO RESPONSE. ANY IDEAS ? virginia

RE: Thank you!
OK I fulfilled all those requests; thanks much! I did notice that for Sarah Yowell it says on the tombstone that she was born in 1840, but the memorial here says she was born in 1860. You might want to check to see which date is correct.

As always I have no problem transferring the memorials to you.

I did not update their memorials with your information before the transfer, I forgot to do that first, so I'll leave that up to you.

RE: Lucy Bartenslager
Nah, back in those days the Taylor Haus was a dairy bar. It didn't open until afternoon and closed around 10 or 11 each night. They all met at a restaurant right down from the square. I'm not sure of the name now. It has changed hands so many times. It used to be Doc Law's and I think it's a pizza shop now. Back then it was called the Stewartstown Restaurant and it was operated by Eleanor Waltemire. All the older ladies in town would meet there every day and drink coffee and smoke cigarettes for hours on end. There was a small clothing store next door owned and operated by Emory and Becky Trout. The kids would come in after school and play the pinball machines, listen to the jukebox and chat with Anna Mary Prall, a waitress that worked there for many years.

I still remember Lucy very well. She and Edith Grein and my mother used to hang out frequently at a local town restaurant. Lucy was a card and fun to be around. Unfortunately, all three ladies are no longer around.
