RE: Leonard A. Moore's children
I'd like to know if ALL the following where Leonard Alexander and Lula Katherine Fox Moore children:
Pearl Moore 21 Mar 1907 died,16 Nov 1992 in Calhoun, McMinn, Tennessee, USA. Sally Moore born 19 Mar 1908 died Jul 1986 in Genoa, Ottawa, Ohio. Also where does John Alex "Arthur Moore fit in the family, I cannot find him in the census records with the family and he seemed to have been born 1 Mar 1917, so since Mary is listed in the 1920 census, I figured John (Arthur) would be too. I also am looking for information on Chester, Cleave, Sadie and Pearl. (I though Pearl was really Parley and it was a mistake).

I do appreciate your help!!!! I have hit a road block and want to move on past it!!! Kathy

L. A. Moore Memorial# 89320234
On Memorial# 89320234 you state names of the children, I need assistance with them. I believe some of them may have been known by another name in the census records. Is Earl Parley E.? There are others, if you have additional information you are willing to share, I'd appreciate it. You may email me, if you choose. James Alexander is in my husbands direct line. Thank you, K Moore

Eldon E. Givans # 39368221
I found this recently. I know this isn't one of your memorials, but I thought you might like to have this for your own records. If I find any other records like it I will send them on to you. SHS was the abbreviation for Springfield, Missouri's "Senior High School". Jefferson Barracks is in St. Louis, MO.

Springfield Leader & Press, Springfield, MO, Friday Evening, June 25, 1943, p. 7 Col. 1, Our sons in the Service.

It was on October 24, 1942 that Pvt. Eldon E. Givans, son of Mrs. Ruth Whitworth, 2150 North Main, entered the service at Jefferson Barracks. He left San Francisco on November 20, 1942, for the Hawaiian islands with a group of other Army Air corps men. A graduate of SHS, he was working for a motor company here before his induction into the service.

Also found:
Givans, Ruth C. & Whitworth, Clarence L.
15 MAY 1925 Greene Co., MO
(Didn't know if you had that or not)

RE: James T Harless
Hi, Sarah was my moms grandmother. I was looking also for any information on James Ernest Harless born 1910. He was my mothers father. No one seemed to know my mother existed. so many have passed. I confirmed where he is buried as well as the son he had with my grandmother Pearl Graham. (My mothers brother was Charles Ernest Harless, buried in the same cemetery "South Park" I haven't found when they married yet, or divorced. My grandmother remarried when my mom was 3.5. who knows why she never got to see her dad. Her stepfather was not overly nice nor her mother. thank you for all the help you can give. I have no family bibles to research in either! Have a wonderful day!

James T Harless
I found a family picture you posted, do you by chance have the names of the people in the picture. My mother was James E Harless daughter born 1938. James T Harless was a relative. My mother never knew her family. I am having a hard time finding information and pictures. South Park is were my mothers brother was buried I believe. Sept 1934 he was 4 days old. I am hoping I get confirmation on the cemetery. thank you for what you have done so far. Bill B. would be my mother's cousin, that she never knew...hoping to get info from him soon. have a wonder safe holiday weekend....

Joan Partridge
Hello Janie,

Thank you for letting us know about Joan. If you have any ancestors at Mt Hope, we would be glad to be of help to your research.

Joan Partridge
We are working on the Mt Hope Cemetery records and found Joan on Find A Grave. We were checking for burial records and contacted St Patricks Church. They don't know where she is buried, but think the family took her ashes. Can you help us? We don't want to leave her out of the Mt Hope book if she is buried there.
I am sorry for your loss.
