RE: Obituary for Katherine Eppers
My ancestor was Susannah Eppers...sister of Valentine Eppers...would very much enjoy sharing information...which one of Valentine's siblings do you come down?

I have Valentine's obit...I must have Catherine's...I'll have to look around for it...

Just need your email send Valentine's...will send Catherine's when I find it..

RE: Obituary for Katherine Eppers

I'm guessinbg you are referring to Ann Catherine Tenhagen Eppers (Mrs. Valentine Eppers)

If so there are a number of accounts of Valentine & Catherine's deaths in the Racine Jounal News.

They died so close made news...

One account is Racine Journal News Newspaper Archive: December 26, 1912 - Page 2

Hope this helps....

Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Sarah Alford in Wyuka Cemetery (Memorial# 69287627).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Nebraska Obituaries, where her obituary will be included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, K B [or your full name if you like]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Thelen in St. Louis Caledonia
Hi, you had asked if I knew if Fred and Mary Thelen were next to each other, I don't recall, but given that her memorial # is 54472993 and his is 54472957
it would appear that they are, since those numbers are only 36 memorials apart.

RE: Sister Mary Jerome Meyer
You're very welcome. I was happy to find that Sister Jerome's marker was completely visible. About half of the stones in that section have sunken so far into the ground that only some of the information can be seen.

Arents & St. George Cemetery
Found this link regarding St George Cemetery.
Found Michael & Gertrude Arents' pics of markers.
Also found daughter, Teresa 'Arents' Langer. But no Peter & Angela Meyer. There is a Peter but older dates.

Hope this works for you.

RE: Scales marker
Thankfully, it has been a mild January here in Illinois. I am terribly afraid of snakes so I do more cemetery research and photographing when it is cool. I am such a chicken!

I saw a batch of photos you did for some Homrighaus's, I'm really impressed, and that does not happen easily. :)
Keep up the good work!
