RE: Friona Cemetery
I checked the date of his headstone posting and it was in 2011, so that is why I thought there might not have been one then either. 7 years after her death.

RE: Friona Cemetery
You are welcome. I got to thinking too that whoever took the photo of his marker evidently didn't find one for her either. I know that if there had been one, I would have posted it so feel that there is probably not one unless I somehow missed it.

RE: Friona Cemetery
I am not sure why there wasn't one. I noticed that someone else took that photo of her husband. I just finished photographing the cemetery a few days ago and photographed all of the visible markers. There were a few markers that had the names missing such as the funeral home plates but I found none for her. I even found a few in the trees and trimmed them to get to the headstone. If you feel there has to be one, then you might want to do a new photo request for a future search by someone. I live 30 miles away so probably won't be able to make it back any time soon. Sorry I couldn't fulfill it.

I have a copy of the Sardis Cemetery Association Survey/Records Committee report that was done in 1999 that states the CSA inscription on the marker.
This headstone appears to be a fairly new marker! We were thinking that maybe the CSA was left off of this one ?? Have you found his CSA Records else where? Shelia

Thank you soooo much for the Photo for Dolores.
I met her once. I worked with her father's brother for over 20 years at Mobil. This meant a lot to me. Thanks again.

I posted the data on Find A Grave, any mistakes are mine. I see where I have the wrong dates for Beatrice. I will correct when I have time. I still know nothing about Peggie or if she is Bina. Don

RE: Old Dallas Cemetery
Absolutely. More than happy to help.
Hated to see the stone was broken but it would be easy to repair.
Could you see the lettering enough to read it? If not I can transcribe it.
It is an amazing old cemetery in the MIDDLE of nowhere. We were there over an hour and not a single car ever passed.
Dallas is long gone but some of the old timers near me told me tales of the place. Said it was a rough place where shootings were not uncommon and that the cemetery had a hanging tree in it. There is an ancient old oak there still.
The cemetery sits on an open hill top and at the apex are two huge, quite remarkable hand carved sandstone tombstones. I have never seen anything quite like them.

Sorry to be so late replying to you message.I am not sure what happen but I saw it and corrected it when I got back to desk top computer. What happened is I took the photos for this and about three other with a smart phone and added them to each of the site from same phone which appeared to work fine.the marker looked fine when i viewed it on the phone but much when i called up on desk top it was laying on its side.Still do not know why but had to remove and readd all of them to correct this problem. The wonders of computers
