Betty Lewis

Hello,

Betty has been moved to the indigent cemetery. I didn't see an email about this, it's possible it went to spam. In the future please use the edit button to send additions or corrections, it is easier and faster as I check for edits on a weekly basis. : )

Thank you, Pam

RE: County of Sonoma Cemetery
It's nice to hear from you Jo. I don't live in California, but hopefully you'll get to see Sandy. Shoot her an email to let her know when you'll be in town. It looks like there are 327 memorials in the county of Sonoma cemetery. Sandy told me that they were 351. It seems that some are missing. I'll have Sandy look at the FindAGrave listing and perhaps you can do as well. Take care and again my condolences. Thank you for all your efforts!!!

Pryor Holt Roberts
Would you please remove Pryor Holt Roberts from the pages of my paternal grandfather Hayden Puckett Roberts (1894-1938) and grandmother Flora Phifer Roberts (September 1, 1897-Jan 3, 1989) buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. They are definitely not his parents. Nor is my father Hayden Puckett Roberts (1923-1996) buried in Sharon Memorial Cemetery, Charlotte, NC his sibling. The other children of Hayden and Flora are Helen Mae Roberts Nov 21, 1918-May 29, 1930) and Betty Jane Roberts Sloan Harrelson (b July 10, 1922) both have markers at Elmwood Cemetery. Also burned in the same platt at Elmwood with my grandfather are his siblings John F Roberts ( & wife Lillian Marie Jaquins); Lawrence P Roberts; Sarah Roberts Cleveland ( & husband Harold G Cleveland); Ella Mae Roberts Steffey (& husband Robert P Steffey); in addition to these are his parents W H (William Howard) Roberts (August 2, 1884-July 14, 1935) and Ida Elizabeth (Puckett) Roberts (May 9, 1859-May 1, 1923)
Thank for your attention to this matter. Sorry, but Pryor Holt hasn't found his family

Jane Doe story
Hi Jo,

Can you copy and paste the Jane Doe story into her memorial? I sent that to you a few days ago via the Find A Grave edit panel, so you should have an email with the story. Thanks!

Making progress on adding memorials to CoSC! :)

RE: County of Sonoma Cemetery
Hi Jo,

I just updated the cemetery listing to add more information that Sandy Frary gave me. She works with the Sonoma County Coroner's office and also is the archivist at Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery as you know. Hopefully this great description and the directions will inform everyone about this little known county cemetery! Thanks for transferring them into the correct listing yet again!

Blessings back,

Wendy

I was using voice text via my iPhone to write my messages on here and afterwards I realized some of it messed up, but I think you got the gist! Oops!

County of Sonoma Cemetery listing made
Hi Jo, I created a new cemetery listing for County of Sonoma Cemetery just now since Sandy had someone that needed a memorial. I will continue updating the description with Sandy's help to ensure anyone that views it knows exactly it's history an I will continue updating the description with Sandy's help to ensure anyone that views it knows exactly it's history and a description that will hopefully inform the Find A Grave Community distinguish it from other county cemeteries. Right now the description is basic. I'm waiting to hear back from Sandy to give me more information to add. Cemetery signs are in the works and once those are erected Sandy will get photographs of them which I will post to the cemetery page.

Now it's super easy and fast for you to change Jane Doe's cemetery.

I hope between the three of us we can make this right.

Sending warm regards,

Wendy

RE: County of Sonoma Cemetery
Yes, I heard about that but I thought that was a good while back not recently. I remember a few months ago looking for a listing for county of Sonoma cemetery and didn't find one. She must of done that earlier this year perhaps. Changing the cemetery listing for Jane Doe will just take a few minutes. You can update the new Cemetery listing for county of Sonoma cemetery later. Just creating a Basic listing right now would be great. I would highly suggest that you and Sandy Frary work together on what to put on the new cemetery listing page so that it's very very clear to everyone the history of this cemetery and why it's called what it is now. Having that on the cemetery page will prevent hopefully find a grave from touching it again. This will also help people that are researching family that were buried in The County of Sonoma Cemetery. That cemetery name was thought up by Sandy and someone else and is not well known by many people up, so having a very detailed description on the cemetery page would be ideal. I know Sandy will be happy to help you with that.

I will submit the Jane Doe story after I eat dinner for you to add to her page. I can just imagine how frustrating this must be for you! Thanks for your hel thanks for your help!

P.S. to my note about Jane Doe memorial
Hi Jo,

I just sent you a Edit Panel note about Jane Doe memorial that you manage that is currently in the Old County Cemetery aka Chanate Cemetery listing on Find A Grave that actually belongs in the County of Sonoma Cemetery that does not have a listing on Find A Grave. If you are busy and prefer, I would be happy to take over the management of that memorial (temporarily) so a new cemetery listing can be made for her and I can update it with Sandy's story. I can then retransfer to you if you prefer. Just giving you options in case you are busy and can't get to it.

Thanks so much!

W.

Re: Virgil Leroy Woolley
Hi,
Virgil Woolley 110153422 is in fact, verified by Union Cemetery in Brentwood, Contra Costa, CA as being buried in their cemetery. I had made a memorial for him with a photo of his headstone. I then, doing research, spotted your memorial. Yours was made first, so I am posting the stone photo to your memorial and sending edits for the place of burial. He is buried with his first wife. She also had married again. If my edits are not accepted by you, then I will leave my memorial in place as accurate. You memorial contains more family links than mine. Virgil did indeed pass away in Stockton. Perhaps the family changed burial plans when they found out that his site was already purchased at Union. Thank you in advance.

I have noticed a typographical error for the death year of Harriet Elon Maddocks. It is shown as 1979 and should be 1978. This is confirmed by the California Death Index and the Social Security Death Index.

I have noticed a small typographical error in the death year listed for Ethel Louise Maddocks. It should be 1938 instead of 1930. I do see where the picture is not clear and it could be misread. I have her obituary from The Healdsburg Tribune & Enterprise, Thurs. Oct. 27, 1938, verifying the correct year.

Alvera Davis Balester & 118956089 Robert Anthony Balester 118955916
Dear 'Josway',

I want to thank you for your transfer of these two Find-a-grave memorials to my management:

Alvera Davis Balester 118956089
Robert Anthony Balester 118955916

Alvera Davis was the daughter of James Nelson Davis, the brother of my husband's Great-Grandfather Walter Davis. I had been looking for her, and until now, didn't have her connected to her seven siblings. I appreciated so much, opening up my computer just now and seeing this transfer. I hadn't even asked you for the transfer ... and that has never happened to me before. Thank you so much for your 'taking the first step'!
Appreciatively, Fellow Find-a-graver, Maureen :)
