|Douglas Kirk Sorensen||RE: Anna Millon suggestion below|
Hi Kathleen - Thank you for your considerable help and clarification. I've modified her memorial to match what you've suggested. You might peek at it again to see if I've missed anything. Again, thanks so much. Best Regards - Doug Sorensen

|Mary Beth Newland Ross||RE: Paul James Garber|
My husband and I walked the Lamar Cemetery yesterday evening and did not find a marker for Paul Garber. I did look up the Lamar Cemetery Association and found the following info:
Mrs R E House
220 Hagy Dr,
Rockport, TX 78382-7918
Unfortunately there was no phone number.
I wish I could be more helpful.

Good morning Kathleen,
I can not find a phone number for a cemetery association for the Lamar Cemetery. There is a very short obituary in the Rockport Pilot but it does not say where Mr. Garber would be buried. I will go out to the cemetery, hopefully this weekend, and see if I can find the gravesite and take a photo of the marker. It is a very small cemetery so it won't be a problem.

Hi Kathleen. My source for the middle initial and death date for Horace Dewey (#96307574) is the transcribed cemetery book by the La Salle Co. Genealogy Guild of Troy Grove Cemetery. Kathy

Well I finally finished reading the diary I have for the Cazadero families and you asked whether Roux was really Leroux. From what I have read there was never a mention of Leroux but only that of Roux. There was a Mr. and Mrs. John Roux and they had a son Newton (Frank) Roux. Not sure if this helps or not, please let me know.

Thank you for the update. I also sent a message to the US Veterans Affairs - they certainly provide a great service. They previously transferred maintenance of George's memorial to me; perhaps they will transfer Ellen's - in any case, once they are the same I'll remove the duplicate memorial. Perhaps you are a closer member to this family - George was my 1st cousin 1x removed - and if so, do you wish me to transfer the memorial? Regards, HarrietGirdley@yahoo.com

Thank you for adding the nice headstone photo to the memorial. Lt. Woolf is no relation to me. I was working on a project re servicemen with connections to Placer County (CA) who died in war time. Being able to create an informative memorial for these soldiers is very satisfying ... as I'm sure you know with the headstone photo documentation you're doing at the military cemetery.

My Clifford has a middle name of Patrick, the one you sent me has a middle initial of C.
Found this that might be helpful to you concerning Clifford as mother's maiden name is different than what is on memorial:
California Birth Index, 1905-1995 about Clifford C Oachoa
Name: Clifford C Oachoa
Birth Date: 18 Mar 1928
Mother's Maiden Name: Tenchiera
Birth County: Alameda

Good Morning - Thank you for the obituary information I added it to Violets bio but took out the names of the living family members for privacy and safety reasons. Also I want to personally thank you for helping Tom add photos to our fallen at Golden Gate National Cemetery. I've been involved editing and adding photos for a few years now with National Cemeteries and recently started working with Tom adding photos to Golden Gate. He is a great guy to work with. If you need help or have any questions please feel free to ask! Have a Great Weekend! Cindy

Thank you for transferring over Charles. He was one of 38 men from Charlie Troop 1st Squadron 11th Cavalry (Black Horses) that was killed in Vietnam. Soon I will have them all back together again where they belong and then my work will be done. If you are wounded, I will carry you. If you are captured, I will come for you. If your are killed, I will always remember you. US CAVALRY

|Christine Klukkert||Graves in Sunset Hills - Corning, CA|
I was just wondering if you ever got a response from member Mary Paetznick (#46577961). You made several requests for family in the Corning, CA cemetery many of my family members are buried in. I have been trying and trying and don't hear back or have edits or connections made. I am in the process of writing a book on that family and it is frustrating to not hear back. Did you have any luck?
Thanks so much.

I am not a relative.
I found this family because a distant relative married a Rader. The Rader family ended up in Siskiyou Co Calif were I was raised.(It is a small world.) My relative did not make it to Calif she left her husband in OR and remarried there. I was in contact with another relative and he said her family was not happy with my information.

No problem! Happy to help with whatever you find.
Someday I'll tell you the story behind all these Memorials.

I've got Robert Lewis' info changed per your request. I wasn't able to get the obit on the site due to the number of characters Find A Grave allows per memorial- sorry! I did try to get it on, but it just wouldn't let me put it on in its entire length.

If there is a plot and grave number then I would assume that someone could go to the headstone that you say this person, whom I have never heard of or worked with saw and take a picture. Of course headstones are wrong, just found one this morning that is off by two years but at least it would be something. I hate to be a stickler and if you had seen it with your own eyes I might not be one, we have worked together a lot, I know your work and respect your work. Trust me, I am not carving Dorri's work in stone either and not being in Sonoma County I can't got there, I am not even in the state anymore or I would be out there trying to solve this. Interment.com like every other site is only as good as the person or persons putting up the information. I am going to transfer this to you and you do with it what you wish, I can't, in good conscience change a name without proof it is incorrect. Again, I hope you understand. Eileen

Normally I would change a name without question but in this case until I see proof other then someone on interment.com's work I wish to leave it as is. I will however note the other possible name in the bio.
I hope you understand my choice in this matter, far too often other sites are incorrect and I am still going through memorials that I have been given because the original volunteer is no longer active. Far too often I have changed something only to find out it was right to begin with. This one may be a bit difficult given the time frame and the short life span, sadly.

|Ladygraver||RE: Millard Farnham Update|
Stopped by the City Hall here in Washburn, WI to discuss what is actually on the grave stone. Their reaction was as I usually get. Here is what they decided... they are going to keep Willard as the first name priority (even after seeing the photo which clearly shows Millard) but they did add Millard as a second reference. I hope this will be helpful to inquiries in the future. It has been nice working with you for your photo request.

|Nancy Poppin Umland||Sarah Mason - thank you|
Hi Kathleen, Thank you for the photo for Sarah Mason. I've been transcribing obituaries from a 12 inch stack that I've collected for the past 12 years. It seemed a waste to throw out the entire obituary sheet since I only needed one. There were so many more; so I saved them and am slowly transcribing and posting on Find A Grave. We both are a big help to the Find A Grave community. Thank you for taking pictures and I'll continue to post obituaries!
Blessings to you.

You are welcome for the photo. Now the mystery is solved for you. I am in Washburn for another week. Would you like me to stop by City Hall with the photo and ask them to please make a note on the file to avoid further confusion?

Hello Kathleen! That was a very nice request for a transfer. I have to say I have become dismayed by the number of people who ask for transfers of distant relatives and then have absolutely nothing to add to the memorial. I only ask that if a closer relative asks you to transfer, that you oblige.
Oh, and I will be going there this weekend so I will get photos. No need to do a photo request, though, because if you do I might not be able to 'claim' it before someone else does.
Transfer on the way. May you always find more relatives!

I have seen your memorial to this lady in New Orleans. I am interested in her husband, Manuel Turla. I see you do not have a memorial for him and am wondering if he is in the same plot? I am interested in Manuel as he served in Co B, 8th Louisiana Infantry in the Confederacy. I am researching this unit for a book. Manuel wrote a diary during the war, entirely in Spanish. If you have any biographical information on this gentleman I would like to share some information with you. Thank you for your time. Regards,

This is my family name and many of the folks are related, some I still have to figure out. Pretty much any name that I have in the Italian Cemetery links into my family in one way or another, this was my great grandmother's maiden name.
