regarding Sarah Ann Johnson
In researching the Gum family of Rutherford,Tn.
I find Sarah with a death certificate stating her
mother (incorrect by the way)it is Nugent, and fathers name Gum. I have a marriage license for A. Johnson. The death certi. is witnessed by one of
her 1/2 siblings from her mothers 2nd marriage to
the Crosthwait family. Does this go with your family record?gail combs

Harriett Hattie Johnson Guy FAG#80365362
Hi Ruth,

I " sponsored" Harriet's memorial Find A Grave 80365362 to add more to her memorial. I created it but then my dad required my attention to his health which lead me to get him Hospice that I overseen his care until his death last Oct 19th, while that was going on my husband was diagnosed in July with cancer. My time was caring for my family.

Please kindly transfer her memorial back to me. I thank you for your help and understanding.

Blessings, God Bless

What is this about?
The obituary states she is buried in the Hamilton Cemetery!
Are they one and the same?

HI,
Are you sure he is buried there? We walked the cemetery and there is no marker for him.
We will try another cemetery if you have an idea.

RE: Jeffers stone photo
There were about 60 photo requests in this cemetery, and I only had time to track down about 10 people. Dr. Dewane was on my list but...It is supposed to snow about an inch tonight. I will get there again sooner or later when I have the time and the weather is not too bad. Could be next spring, but I will get there sooner or later.

RE: Ryes Chapel Cemetery
I am still working on Ryes Chapel Cem. I know three people that are over it now. I am trying to get all the names listed. I have a few I have to go back and dust to be able to read them. This cemetery is very poorly laid out. They have just recently started keeping records and trying to contact family members to put headstones on the family members, if they know where they are buried. I am trying to find out as much info that I can on the families, to make connections. There is a lady that put some names on there, with the wrong spelling and wrong dates. I have tried to contact her several times, with no response. I have contacted findagrave, have not heard back from them either. Weather permitting, I am going back out there tomorrow to powder the last ones I need.

RE: Billy Hamilton Stone at Old Union
You're very welcome. In response to some of your questions, yes Savannah is in Hardin County as is Old Union Cemetery. The cemetery is about equal distance between Adamsville, McNairy Co., TN and Savannah, TN. I live in Selmer, TN about 30 miles from Savannah. I believe that the Savannah newspaper comes out weekly and it's called "The Courier". It's a small paper located at 375 Main Street in Savannah, TN. I would bet that if you gave them a call they would help you out.
thx & good luck, Mike

P.S. I have double first cousins as well, it's kind of funny as when people first here of it, they think that there is some type of incest until I explain it to them.
