RE: L. Rosen 1838-1875
Hi Barbara,

Thanks for your inquiry. To say the least, this has been a confusing family group to research, with much ambiguity in the (few) records I've been able to unearth. Given the political climate of Russia & Poland in the 19th century, I am not overly concerned about the place of birth edit. I am content simply to have the family members linked.

Thanks,
Sharon

RE: Corinne Wallaster
Hi Barbara,
To name a few sources: The New Orleans, Louisiana Birth Records Index, The U.S. Social Security Death Index, The New York Passenger list which lists her and her sister Mildred when they went on a trip to France together--it lists her birth date on there as well as the fact that Corinne was a widow at that point. As you know, her maiden name is Jacquet (Jaquet) I descend from that family. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to send me a message again. Thanks so much for your work.

RE: John & Sarah Uron, Trinity Episcopal Church New Cemetery
You are very welcome! Will you be able to go back to Trinity and look for them? I believe they are on the right side near the front. It took me a very long time to document that entire cemetery, take pictures of all the gravestones and create memorial pages. Labor of love! Would you like me to transfer the ownership of their memorials to you?

Updates for Dad
Barbara,

Thanks for adding my Dad to Find-a-grave! I've just discovered Dad's Army discharge, that a cousin had. Dad may have worn SGT stripes in Korea but his Army discharge was as a Corporal.

I'll send along what edit's I've discovered.

Louis MOSS' middle names
Sorry. When i sent the edit I meant to put the two names (Henry Philip) as his double middle name. Instead I typed Henry as middle and philip as a MAIDEN name. Just sent you another correction. Sorry to double your work.

James Ethridge
St. Ann's of Middletown
Barb, Hi Again

I have partially completed three cemeteries (all that I could read). I make a lot of errors when I do that but I wait for the families or others to make suggested corrections. 99% of those errors are omissions.

My next challenge is St, Annes of Middletown. The local historical society is starting to help too.

Joseph Byrnes
Names on Harriet Byrnes Tomb
Hi Barbara,

Harriet "Muz" Byrnes was my grandmother and I have been to her tomb in Metairie, LA. I am fairly new to genealogy and Find A Grave but have good information about my father's family.

From that information and others thru ANC I have, I believe, compiled the birth names of people on the Byrnes tomb. I have the names in Excel format, as well as in pdf format, and could email to you if you would like.

Your name comes up from time to time in my research so we might be related.

RE: Rosa Perea
It is sometimes difficult to pin point the location of a community when it is a river (Blind River).

The 1900 census shows Rosa was living in St. Tammany Parish, ward 1.

Thanks for questioning the edit.

Morris Sonnier.

RE: Rosa Perea
My source is Times-Picayune Newspaper obituary dated May 10, 1980, page 20. The obit states Rosa was a native of Blind River, Louisiana.

Wikipedia shows Blind River, LA:

Blind River is a waterway in southeastern Louisiana originating in the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area of St James Parish west of New Orleans and running northeasterly before turning east to flow into Lake Maurepas. The lower reaches of Blind River form the boundary between Livingston Parish on the north shore and St James and St. John the Baptist Parish on the south shore.

Blind River Chapel is located in Saint James Parish. If you have more detailed information as to where the Blind River Community was located in 1980, please let me know.

Hope this helps.
