|Gary Boughton||RE: Boughton, William|
I think the Findagrave number you mention has a typo also. What is it you would like me to change.

Thanks for the update! :-)
Walter was listed as being from Erie County on the World War II Honor List of Dead .... I check each enlistment record to insure they were actually from that county ... however Walter's enlistment record is one of the ones that has been lost over time .... So I added him where the Army listed him.
I've changed his record to show Gainesville, Wyoming County and, since I haven't as of yet started Wyoming County, he is now listed in my unassigned listing noted below. Hopefully I'll get to Wyoming County sometime early next year. :-)
Thanks My Friend,
( He is also noted on the above webpage )

Thanks for the information. I know i am not going to get to this for probably a month. Would you want to manage the memorial. I am not related to this family.

There have been many discussions in the Find A Grave Forums concerning the listing of sources. It has been stated that in the past the administrators and even Jim Tipton himself have added their comments to the effect that "shout outs" are unnecessary and even inappropriate for a Bio in "Find A Grave format", which is one that simply recounts some details of the person's life.
The original source for all such facts are the person him- or herself, with most recording of them already being third- or fourth-hand by the time it is first written down anyway.
As others have put it, we're not doing term papers here...

It is great work which you have done documenting the memorials. I sent to you a suggestion which had a misspelling, that was my fault. Edson H Latham is spelled without the i in his name. So much for the auto text feature. : (
Should you seek documentation, the link to Edson H Latham on my Ancestry Tree is
Should you need access feel free to reply.

In this record there is a short obit, but with an unknown edition of the Western NY paper from which it came. I believe this to be from here:

|sharon robson chase||Aileen Ryan Crichton|
Mickey,put the headstone picture for Aileen.
When I look at the headstone,Aileens maiden name is Ryan,she married,John Taggart Crichton. Both of their names,plus George Sr and Maryann are on it. John Taggart Crichton is not mentioned,on findagrave. Frances Jones,is one of the daughters,of George and Maryann. John and Aileen,lived in Sandy Creek,NY. She died in Lacona. Found her obit,on Fultonhistory.com/postcards.
Please verify,and fix if is correct.

Thank you so much for the work you did with the Cornwell plot in Portageville. My grandfather, as well as my great, and great-great grandfather are buried there. This has really sparked a revival of my interest in genealogy.

You have him as married to Mary M Elderkin. According to the Wisconsin Deaths and Burials, Mary M. Elderkin's parents are Bennet and Susan Beardsley. Mary's husband is Edward Elderkin.
I wish to help, not to point fingers. Thank you.

|sec412 ||RE: fulton & Richmire|
Thank you for the site info & all the help with the Richmires. I think I can now lay Mercy/Mercie to rest.
I started searching & looking & lost track of time.
I also sent an e-mail to a volunteer in Tuscola Co., MI to see if she might be able to find an obit in a local paper there that isn't online.
The obit you sent me sure had a lot of misspelling in it and had her father's first name wrong! But it has helped me with my researcch for Mercy (Coons) Richmire.
I did not know about the site and it started me looking for other New York sites that might help me for other surnames.

|sec412 ||RE: Richmire|
I'll see if I can get a friend to help me that has ancestry.
I really appreciate all you have done for me.
The obit seems to fit a MI marriage record that I thought was for 'Mercy' (Coons) Richmire even thou the first name used was not Mercy nor any other of the names she seemed to use! She changed names more then any other person I've researched.
I hope I haven't made a lot of spelling/typing errors in this message! Just returned from an eye exam & eyes aren't back to normal yet.

|sec412 ||RE: Richmire|
I only receoved a message frpm Find A Grave that the memorial had been transferred to me.
Where & when did you send a message that was about an obit for Mabel's mother, Mercy (Coons) Richmire?
If the obit is for Mercy (Coons) Richmire, daughter of John & Rhoda (Cross) Coons who was Divorced from Rev. Geo. W. Richmire I would most surely like to have it.

|sec412 ||Richmire, Mabel May|
Thank you for the transfer of Mabel's memorial.
I have linked her to her father.
The obituary I have is a little different but not enough so I haven't added it.
Hopefully one day the mystery of her mother will be solved & I can link Mabel to her also.

Thank you for the information that you sent regarding Abagail, wife of Asa. The Abagail Lamb who seek, I believe, was unmarried. So these appear to be different individuals.

Thanks for your follow-up diligence. I have:
1) corrected spelling errors for "Methodist" and " Pocahontus."
2) added middle and maiden names, birth/death dates/locations
3) transcription (so that Google will pick it up!!)
