He was a major figure in the equestrian world. You might want to look at an article on his passing at the Washington Post - August 25, 2005: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/24/AR2005082400005.html

|Joan Milbourne Heinicke||RE: David Milbourn|
Not sure what condition you found the cemetery. When we went last summer it was in fairly good condition, but had heard it was really run down until a family member cleaned it up. Many of my ancestors are buried there....it truly is an out of the way cemetery. We visited the area three times and never found it until a distant cousin, who we discovered through Find A Grave (!) lead me there.
Thanks, Joan Milbourne Heinicke

I see that you added a picture of the grave of David Milbourn. He is my 4th great grandfather. Are you a relative?

First of all I want to say thanks to you for your work with Find A Grave. You are helping make it possible for people like me who can no longer visit cemeteries because of age and poor health get to visit their extended families graves. May God bless you for your dedication to helping others. I hope you will not mind if I copy your photos of the grave markers for my Ancestry and Family Tree Maker family files. I appreciate so very much being able to try to leave for my descendants (and others who may be their families also) to be available to view their family heritage. I know at my advanced age I cannot do much more but I am trying to do all I can.

|Carolyn Thompson||Where the grave markers were?|
You took the pictures of the grave markers for Adam L Simpson and Mary Lockhart Simpson. Were these two markers close together as if they were husband and wife? Also, How far away was the grave marker of James Arther Simpson? It is a possible son. Thank you for these pictures.

Thanks for sending me the heads up. I am not sure how I didn't notice that!
Looking at the photo I posted it is hard to tell if they are 1816/1817 &-or 1846/1847. I am not the best at researching online but I am going to try to double check and if no luck will just try to get up to the cemetery to re-read the stone or check with the office for clarification.
Thanks again for sending the correction.

Oh my thank you for catching that I had put the wrong spouse on her memorial. I had entered several that day and copied the wrong number. Thanks again

John, Please let me know if I can use your gravestone photos in my Ancestry.com tree? I would, of course, properly credit them to you.

|AnisahD||RE: Philena Chandler Eaton Tavenner stone|
If you are ever back at that section of the cemetery, could you take a peak and see what letters on the stone are visible without moving Philena's stone? I am quite curious to know if that is his stone. Even if we don't move Philena's. If we're lucky there is just enough of the engraving of the name or dates to give us the needed clues.
Thanks for taking the photo of Philena's stone by the way. It is beautifully done! Living way out here in South Dakota, makes me greatly appreciate those who are photographing relatives stones in other regions where I would likely never get to travel to and photograph them myself. So thanks again.

|AnisahD||Philena Chandler Eaton Tavenner stone|
I noticed you posted a photo of Philena's stone. Could you tell me who the stone behind her's was? Is that her husband, Benjamin Tavenner's stone by chance?
His memorial doesn't show a stone, so I was curious if it was his stone.

I see that you have captured more Beales graves in Grove Methodist. This is so wonderful.
Do you think that you have collected all of them because I'm still looking for Amos and Elizabeth.
I got a failed delivery on your email address so I thought I would leave you this internal message.
It is so much appreciated.
