Hello Amy. I received your message regarding Mrs. Barbier. I appreciate your acknowledgement of the information I sent you. And no ma'am, I am not related to Mrs. Barbier. I just happened upon her memorial, and went from there. Thank you, and I hope you have a great day!

I deleted the photo I entered in 2010 and added the new one. Did a close up so you could see how her memorial reads.

Martha Talley #24834576
Amy, I tried to add a hyperlink to the other Martha Talley page. It didn't work right. Now, when I click on edit bio on my page, it changes to the other memorial, not the bio. I have no idea how it did this, and can't undo it because it won't let me edit the bio. I sent an email to Find A Grave but have not heard anything from them. I would have transfered it to you but it is screwed up. Another mystery, for the mysterious double entry! Becky

I had a delightful morning driving around the cemetery with the Director. It is a very large cemetery and he prefers to take people out instead of turning them loose, and I learn so much from him very time I go there! He also knows where to find the graves, which is very helpful.

RE: Palestine
You are welcomed for the Talley photos. Just in case you're interested, here are the other Talley's in Palestine.

In the NE corner is a memorial stone that reads: "in memory, Edith Talley Davis, Oct. 18, 1909, Nov. 16, 1987. Who dedicated so much time and effort to the preservation and care of Palestine cemetery. Edith is missed by all."

Jessie M. Talley, b: Feb. 17, 1918,

Sarah Talley King, 1861-1897

Oliver Talley, b:????, d:?????, age 2 or 9 months (situated between Beverly and Eliza Talley)

Arthur A. Davis, Sr., b: 1903, d: 1963, "father"
Myrtle Davis Wight, b: 1880, d: 1962
Daniel B. Talley, b: 1904, d: 1934
(for what it's worth, above three are matching stones)

Wm. B. Talley, b: 1877, d: 1925 "father"
Emma B. Talley, b: 1883, d: 1949 "mother"

Cecil V. Talley, b: 1903, d: 1933, WW veteran

RE: Mount Hope
Amy,

You're welcome! It was my pleasure to help.

Thank you very much for your praise of my photography. I try my absolute best. I've been doing it long enough now that I've pretty much perfected my style, and I'm glad you like it. It's comments like yours that keep me going! It makes the uncomfortable heat and sunburns (of which I got a nasty one at Mount Hope) worth it! :)

Amy,

I took this picture today, it looked ok on my camera & computer. When I uploaded it it doesn't look great. I will try to make it back down to the cemetery this week and re-take. Sorry.

Hi Amy!
I just wanted to let you know I linked Ira Nichols Smith to his parents Annliza and John Smith. I had a little issue with his wife Camilla's name. Due to how I took the picture I can't really tell if it reads Camilla M. Manus or if it should read Camilla McManus.

I usually choose random ones, either by the last name that is in my family or if it is a young person or baby and then I will take theirs and everyone who I can tell is their family. I could not find any information on their son Guyton Smith, but I saw a census record that had his name as Fred. I tried looking for a death certificate since he died in 1921 but had no look.
